Bob, I love to follow you on the forum and I wish you the best of luck! My husband is a diabetic also and I have tried to tell him of the importance of taking care not to injure his feet. My accountant had a small sore that turned into a major sore on his foot and the outcome was horrible. He would not listen to his doctors. Good luck and I hope one day to meet you and your wife in a campground somewhere. I always look for your posts and always tell my husband about them.

Thanks for the kind words.. Tell your "Hugsband" to take care of himself. I'm the poster child for what the alternate outcomes can be.
I've spent over three nd a half years on crutches over the past twenty, I'm legally blind in my left eye, and my kidney function is currently at 53%...

He doesn't want any of this!

Prosthesis

I am in the Prosthetic and Orthotic profession ABC certified practitioner.
If you do have an amputation the process of getting a prosthesis and walking will go quickly with physical therapy. It is very important that you always write down any questions you think of and discuss them with your medical practitioners. We have all gone to appointments and left and remembered questions afterwards, so write them down and take them with. As I said it will go quickly and your Prosthetist will be a wealth of information and guidance as will be the whole Medical Team working with you.

Wishing you the best
F.R.E.D (BMO)

F.R.E.D.,
Since these "trips to the urinal" have been happening at 10 year intervals: I've already made my 2030 reservation at the hospital...
Seriously: I know it's more "when"; than "if" for me. I see my "foot guy" in a couple of weeks for a check-up. I'll ask if we need another "bone-ectomy" done on the foot in order to relieve the pressure points.
I also have to see about another pair of orthotic shoes. (You should see this foot! )
When it gets to "saw time"; I'll need to figure out what the pertinent questions will be...

...but I'll figure it out.
Thanks for chiming in with an expert opinion!

Hello Bob
For almost 2 years now, since we purchased our first RV, I religiously folow this Forum. I was and will be for a while a newbie. Luckilly for me, our RV did not had any major issues yet only few minor one but I still would follow this Forum everyday. Bob, you were one of the first giving me an expert advice. In such a short time I learned a lot from you.
I have learned about your medical condition just today. I am so sorry to hear all that stuff you had to go through. But I am also very happy to see the progress. You will be just fine, thank God. I will be praying as well for your speedy recovery. Take care Bob!!! And hear from your soon[emoji3].

Thanks... but I'm a lot less of an expert; than thr true wizards in here.
I can't complain a bit about my health. After all; it's all self-inflicted, and I had a lot of fun along the way...
