Chassis question

I was on the thor website to request some drawings, and when I typed in my Vin # it says the chassis type is F22. Everything I have ever looked up and researched prior on a Vin decoder showed it to be an F53 chassis. Does anyone know anything regarding an F22? Or is that just what Thor calls it?

Your coach is a Ford F-53, don't know why Thor says F-22, must be an internal code.

Maybe 22,000-pound load rating? That would be my guess.

22,000 is indeed the GVWR, perhaps that is it.

I checked that site before too. I am pretty sure Thor has a broken database and I wouldn't use it for any valid information. I would recommend you contact Thor Warranty Support via email for any specific diagrams or information based on your VIN.

I asked Thor about that chassis designation a couple of years ago and that is the method they use to distinguish when a model has a different GVWR (and possibly wheelbase) depending on Floor Plan. Examples given were the Hurricane, Windsport and Miramar.

Understandable, makes perfect sense to me! Thanks for the clarification!
