Steering Stabilizers
Trying to decide whether to go with the Safety Plus or Road Master. Any input is appreciated thanks.

We have a safe t plus and it's awesome. It's like a different RV now. Stays right where you put her. I ordered direct from safe t plus and they were very friendly and helpful. Safe t plus is a little more money but has a lifetime warranty. That was the deciding factor for me.
After speaking with the folks at Safe t plus, I know there will never be any hassle with warranty claims. Sometimes you can just tell when you speak to someone that they are gonna do you right. Either one should make a huge improvement. Good luck.

It is like asking do you like Ford or Chevrolet. I am sure you wil find some people like one or the other. I have a Safe T Plus and it works for me bit I am sure the Roadmaster works also.

Had the ultimate test of our Safe T Plus last month on I 95 in SC when we were struck by a tri axle dump truck towing asphalt paving equipment.
He drifted into our lane and bounced off of our rv sending us towards the trees.
I had a fight on my hands for a few seconds but managed to keep our rig on the road , no doubt the safe t plus helped me to regain control.
Not fun....

I went with the Safe T Plus, very happy with it, but I’m sure the roadmaster is just fine too. I only went with the Safe T Plus because when I was researching the CHF, it seemed like most people that commented also bought the Safe T Plus. Word of warning if you’re doing it yourself the shackle bolts to mount the bracket were a bear to remove.

I went with the RoadMaster on our Hurricane 35C. Noticeable difference in steering. The wander effect is gone and tractor trailers don’t push us around like the used to. I felt both were probably going to do the same job stabilizing the MH. The Cheap Fix on the sway bar is next.

We did the CHF (Cheap Handling Fix) on front and rear and haven't felt the need to spend any money on aftermarket products. Of course, the CHF is for the F-53 chassis, not the E-450 of the Vegas.

I-4 in Tampa is where we had the debris from a pickup truck jump off the bed of the truck..one hop off hiway and into our windshield.. God was with us..as it hit below the wipers and above the seal..punched a hole in windshield and then cracks everywhere. I-4 is as bad as Atlanta anymore...we have taken the back roads down from Ocala area...ok but slow.

I-4 is a nightmare now. That is where my windshield on the Vegas got cracked.
We do the same when camping up in the Ocala area. Longer ride but much less stressful. Glad you are ok.

I did the safe-t-plus on my Axis. Works well. Just from the posts here on the forum about Axis / Vegas, I believe most go with the Safe-t-plus. Don't remember reading Vegas / Axis with other brands. Someone prove me wrong

Hello, we are new at RVing. Just bought our first one in January. 2015 Thor Vegas 24.1. We've taken one long trip and a couple short. Short trips are Mostly to dealer for some warranty work. In reading this thread and from our few trips it seems we might need to install stabilizers. Can you give us an idea of cost. It looks like majority likes safe t plus. Any feed back greatly appreciated.
