What type of TV for travel trailer?

Our “new to us” camper trailer didn’t come with a TV. I think something around 20”-24” would be plenty big enough to put up in the corner on the little TV shelf. As far as TV’s go….are there certain brands, models, or types that hold up better to the heat, cold, vibration, humidity that the travel trailers experience?

Would I be better off getting a little mini projector and buying a small while movie screen to hang on the wall and just project stuff on that?

Any info would be great!

Igrace.

For my two cents worth: Get a Smart TV, get a TV that can handle the newer Cable input that requires your TV to have a QAM tuner and if possible (or if they exist) one that can run off of 12V (cigarette lighter plug to auto or chassis battery) and 120V (for generator or shore power). As far as size that is up to how big your TT is and how deep your pockets are.

Note that TVs that qualify as "Smart TV"s also can access the internet over WiFi or cabled. These typically cost extra and may not be worth it for a camper.

In the past we have replaced an old CRT tv in a motorhome...we bought a Vizio... at the time 'Smart TVs' were not available...however, the install went well and the tv served us well. These tv's are not expensive, especially for a small screen as you are talking about. Ron would recommend getting a mounting bracket...and from there, you will need the wiring for your antenna and an antenna, presuming you do not have one. Even if you dont get an antenna...you can purchase a reasonably priced dvd player and hook it up to the tv.

We don't take a TV camping, mother nature is our entertainment.
