On the windshield just like the instructions tell you to do for a car.

On my Class C, I had to mount it in the middle on the bottom of the windshield. Mounted up near the mirror, it couldn't be detected by the toll lane antenna because of the overhang. It's been fine ever since I moved it.

When I had a class c, I mounted it in the front window where the overhead bed was.

I stick it behind the mirror on the windshield. Never a problem.

mine lives windshield center bottom
It's not been used a lot but so far no problems.
I put it there thinking that up high would be much more shaded from the overhead sensors.

Sunpass scanners are located in the overhead frame of the toll plaza. The overhang on your class C may obstruct the transponder. Mount it near the bottom of the windshield in the center. If it does miss your transponder and you are billed by your license plate # there is a procedure to negate the additional service charge.

Naw, just hold it in your hand and stick arm out the window and wave it up and down several times.
