Thanks, Wayne. We stopped in at Compass RV Resort in the spring, but didn't stay.

One request for a volunteer: Can someone bring a big coffee pot and the coffee for it, at least for Sunday morning, and maybe at the evening meals if there is enough demand.

I believe there are a couple of spots left. Call Compass if you want to join us!

BTW: There will be plenty of sitting around visiting, but can't promise a campfire or any singing!

Just finished checking & fluffing up tires on our Axis, the final preparation before we hit the road for Compass and the rally tomorrow. See y'all there!

Safe travels, OldChief. We have a great group here, and several are headed downtown tomorrow.

BTW, there was some discussion about asking you to fluff their tires, too! Maybe we'll make you the official rally tire fluffer!

Sorry, I will not be at the rally. Last night I was admitted to the cardiac unit at Seven Springs Hospital. Looks like a
Stint or two. Will be in surgery about 4:00 today. Trust me, you are all having more fun than me. Think I over did it getting the RV ready up

Sorry you couldn't join us. Trust your surgery was successful. We missed you and look forward to your complete recovery!

Great Rally!

Just got home from the Fall Sunshine Rally and would like to thank Gerry for a fantastic job of organizing and facilitating this event. Both Liz and I had a terrific time seeing old friends and making new ones. Many types of rigs, all models and sizes attended. Thanks to Gritz Carlton for the outstanding BBQ!

Thanks to Thor for sending one of their top RV techs to answer our questions. Scott was very helpful.

Thanks to all for the great fellowship and godspeed everyone on their trips home. We look forward to the spring rally.

Wayne and Liz Gruen

What a great group! We had 26 rigs, 53 people and a lot of fun. The weather was a little warm, but bearable. The resort was super and St Augustine was as charming as always. Some went shopping, some went to the beach, some drank from the fountain of youth! The meals we shared were really good. Gritz Carlton proved he knows his way around a smoker, and several folks stepped up to make the weekend a success.

Thor sent Scott, their person in charge of service for the SE USA. When Mrs S got locked in our Vegas with a broken latch, we had one of Thor's top four mechanics getting her out in a flash. A bad thing to happen at the best possible time! He helped a bunch of us with issues big and small.

For those of you who are jealous, start a rally near you or a meet and greet somewhere. Forum folks are some of the nicest people ever!

Note to all:
It doesn't fit all axis/Vegas.
If your vehicle has the keys exactly in line vertically, this won't fit.
Please notice the key offset in the picture.

I can't find an electronic lock for the later year (I'll say 2018 and newer, unsure of 2017)

OF COURSE both pictures are sideways. Rotate 90 clockwise.

I'm glad the weather went well for all.

It was a pleasure meeting everyone at the rally. Zita and I enjoyed ourselves and Baxter had a blast! Great location, great food, and great people. What more can you ask for!

Wonderful experience! Nice putting faces and personalities with names. Thanks for the kind words about the BBQ. Side benefit...it will be fun crossing paths throughout the year with many of you. When you pass through the Atlanta area, give us a shout...we can meet for a quick lunch. After December/January we should be retired full time in PCB, FL, then hitting the road next Spring to tame the Wild West. Looking forward to the next rally!

That should have been so embarrassing for the Thor rep: so much so he should have overnighted a replacement to you on the spot and installed it himself. Unfortunately it appears he was well versed in responding to this all too common failure. Just another day in the life of a Thor service rep.
