Sway bar

After having front and back sway bars put on our 2017 Windsport 29m with a come to centre steering shock. It handles worse than ever. We had it aligned also. The steering wheel has several inches of free play before the turning. Any suggestions

Sounds like the center steering add-on is either not installed correctly or is defective. There should be little to no play in the steering wheel.

Unless there is a steering box or pitman arm problem.

Neither the sway bars nor the center-link shock will have any effect on looseness or play in the steering wheel.

I installed Roadmaster front & rear sway bars in our 2017 Axis 25.2 and made a huge improvement in handling and stability. Did not change the shock on steering linkage. Was told by Roadmaster C.S. rep it could wear out the power steering pump. I'd have the installation checked then make sure the part is not faulty....good luck!!

2017 Axis 24.1 with E450 chassis. I recently replaced steering shock for Roadmaster Steering Dampener. Immediately, felt a lot less play in steering wheel. Highway stray with Semi's passing was also improved. Not going to bother with sway bars in my situation since I like the feel as is. Might be less sway due to wife loading it up with tons of shit.
