Switch Function? ACE 32.3

Under the cabinets above the sink are three switches. The left and right operate lights. The center does not appear to operate anything.

What is not working or what am I missing?

Jim (SDB)

On my axis it operates the closest ceiling exhaust fan.

No joy!! Doesn’t affect the ceiling fan at all..

Any other possibilities or maybe it should and is not wired correctly.

It is an unmarked plain black switch plate with three Black rockers (On a 2020 ACE 32.3).. I’ll take a picture but it is meaningless. Not outside lights or stairs or pump.. the left most switch is wired to lights to the right and the right most switch is wired to lights to the left under the microwave (go figure).. My first guess would have been stove hood but this coach does not have any outside vent on this side.. might be a spare switch for this function.. don’t know..

You could snap off the cover and see if there are wires connect to it. If everything is working and you know how to work it why worry about it?

The schematic shows it wired to a 12V Vent (the ceiling fan is shown as different from this vent). I see no vent, I hear no vent...

Well in that case make sure that the switch on the ceiling vent also is left in the on position and see if the remote switch then controls it. That’s how my SOB works.

Wish it were so.. lol.. as I said at #4.. “No joy!! Doesn’t affect the ceiling fan at all..”

I do think that might be the intention. I am in contact with Thor so I’ll hopefully get their response this week.

Question for you though... Does your fan automatically lift the vent cover too when you flip the switch? My vent cover must be opened manually before the fan will operate (so my wife couldn’t reach it anyway).

The schematic mentioned and associated post have been deleted because the schematic is copyrighted and proprietary material that was posted without the express written permission of Thor.

Just because Thor provides owners with drawings does not mean someone is free to further distribute them on an open forum.

Mine does not open the cover and I think I’m glad it doesn’t. Too much risk of accidentally bumping the switch and letting the rain in. In fact we rarely use the remote switch. It just seems easier to use the one on the fan. Hope you figure it out. At least is not a big deal!

Unless someone with the same model coach can help it might be easier to contact Thor and ask them what that switch is for.

Already in contact with Thor.. so far they can’t provide an answer but we’re going to check with “engineering” and get back with me.

Upon further inspection today, there is another vent (pretty much hidden with the slide in) that is a more likely candidate (it is closer) but it doesn’t turn on either unless it only works with the slide out..It does not have a switch at the ceiling so I suspect no other power to that vent but haven’t had time to see if there is even power to that switch.

I’ll report back

But bigger fish to fry.. bedroom door fell off track

(Sorry about the schematic.. I know better)

on our 32.3 the center switch operates the fan in hall between the bathroom and the bunk beds. Is the fan turned off at the switch next to the fan?

If you pull the cover and there is a fuse block in-line with the hot wire then it is likely for the awning led lights on the roll up tube.
