Hurricane Super Slide

Our 2016 Hurricane’s Super Slide is giving us fits. It would not go in until back motor “jumped” by a mobile RV repair man. Not working after that. Our usual repair place replaced both motors-nothing.
New in-wall slide out control-nothing. New wiring harness but slide would only go out using Over ride under the slide. At least that is what repair men told us. We got on the road and when we hit slide out at the controller, the front would go out about 4 to 6 inches. We’d hit retract and the front would go in and the back would go out. It seems to me that it is wired backwards, it is pivoting it is not extending or retracting. HELP!!

2015+, along with introduction of the full wall slide, presented a nightmare to the slide system. Thor designed and patented the "3-Trax" system going forward that resolved the problem (for the most part). There may be aftermarket upgrades.

I'm sorry to say this but........ 80% of the coaches with a heavy, full-wall slide are likely to have issues. Gritz is one of the lucky ones in the 20%.

The Schwintek Mechanism is a horrible design for a large and heavy slide. There are several failure points.

I had the Schwintek Mechanism replaced on my '20 Magnitude SV34 with the Vroom Slide System back in October 2021. It was the best investment I have made for my coach. It will cost you between $3000 - $3500 but it will perform perfectly and there is a very low risk for any future failures or problems.

The only problem is at last report they were already booking into next year.

However, you may have a minor issue at the moment. Try the motor directional switches and then the resync procedure. You tech may have screwed up and have the motors spinning in opposite directions.

If that directional switch change doesn't work, try the manual electronic override procedure and then resync the motors.
