thermostat

Morning;
Have a 2018 vegas 24.1. thermostat has a setting for fan on or auto,also system on-cool-heat and fan.When I use the a/c or heat fan is on high and I can't change it to any other setting. Also same for fan only,can't change to other speeds or use fan only. Any help?

Well on my 2017 axis (with the old fashon thermostat) it was the same. All I had was high on both heat and AC. The wires where loose behind the thermostat so I replaced with a digtal Colman Mach (The colored wires mached up exactly so it was an easy replacment).

So now the low works (But really its more of a MED) on the AC only. But I hardly us it... not much quieter anyway.

But from what I read the heater only had once speed (High).

I would highly recommend replacing with digial thermostat if you have the old style. Works much better - more exact on temp and ony like a 2 deg swing in vs like 10 deg of the old one.

We had the original analog thermostat on our 2016 25.2 and it DID have high and low on the AC (never used the onboard heat)

We also replaced with the COLEMAN-MACH digital thermostat for the exact same reason. Temperature control is now MUCH improved..

A bit off track, but do these roof tops have heat in them as well? My main control panel of the multiplex wiring system shows cool and heat but figured that was just in the programing.

Yes, I noticed that my Colman 15000 BTU AC has a plug in (Under the interior cover) for a heating element. So I looked it up and it was only like $50 or $60 and you just plug it in and mount with like one or two screws. I think on mine I have to drill a hole in the cover for a knob to stick down to control it but the newer models with the multiplex might have it pre-wired?
