Thor ace 30.2

Does anyone have an input on a 2018 Thor ace 30.2, I am considering one of these instead of a windsport 29m because it is a little cheaper in price.

have this model. very nice coach so far, easy to drive. only have had a couple issues but every coach has an issue or two that has to be worked out.

I have a 30.3, very similar to the 30.2 in size and features, except I don't have the bunks and have external kitchen. The few minor annoyances I've had I could have fixed myself, but with it being new and in warranty, I let the dealer do it. We like it a lot, hope you will, too.

We own a 2017 ACE 30.2 and have had very few problems. I couldn't be happier with the layout and the handling.
We have driven it out West with 3 grandkids and a large dog and we didn't feel cramped at all.
This is our 3rd RV and 2nd MH and are very happy with it.

It sounds like a case of: "Winner winner: chicken dinner!"

But what do you give up, by going with this model?

Hi Bob,
Sorry. Not sure what you are asking here. Because of the bunks? Because its not 45 feet long? Because its not a DP?
If you are referring to the layout difference between the 30.2 and other ACE's, then it would be "what do I give up because of the bunks?". Nothing that I can see. We still use it for storage when enroute and can use the extra sleeping areas when stopped.

Probably better phrased as "What do you give up going with the ACE 30.2 instead of the Windsport 29m?"

I have a 2014 ACE 30.2 with 29000 miles and have only had minor issues. Fixed them all myself except for the time it had to be towed off of I-10, dealer found the problem quickly once they got to it. MAF sensor had an internal failure and shut the engine down, Ford fixed under warranty.
Great R.V. would buy again

We have a 2017 ACE 30.2 got this model for the bunks as we have a 10 yr old daughter. We considered the 2018 but we found this left-over and the price was way too good to pass up. Dealer blew it our under cost to move it out and get the 2018 model on his lot. The price was criminally cheap We love the layout and have had no problems with it. Going on out last trip of the year Veretans Day weekend (local trip) before we put it away from the Winter. Will be our 5th trip since getting it in late July.

We bought a 2018 Windsport 29 m and love it!!! Not sure about the price points but you need to consider the Windsport for sure!!! I'd also tell you if I wasn't 6'6" and needed a king size bed we absolutely loved everything about the Feeedom Traveler 27. They make a 30' as well. Slide out for the dinette and the bedroom, generator behind the driver side front wheel, not under your bedroom- how dumb is that? 19.5" tires, and many other things that just felt right. Perfect for 2 people and 2 kids if needed? Go find one before you make your decision in a Ace!!!!!!

The jack knife sofa is very uncomfortable. Lots of people here replace them with aftermarket recliners.
The queen size bed is a "short" queen bed

We have a 2016 30.2 and so far we have been very satisfied. In a previous reply I saw someone mention the jackknife couch being uncomfortable. I agree with that comment. The ACE is an entry level motorhome. So keep that in mind. We have 2 kids 5 and 7 so the bunks are perfect. The drop down bed is a nice feature, but in all of our camping we have only used it for storage while stopped, never as a bed.

I agree about the drop down bunk. We had one and just never used it. NOT having one made my “must have” list. I don’t like paying for features I won’t use!
