Thor Freedom Elite 30 FE - Sewer Hose won't fit in Bumper

Hello all,
In the process of prepping our new Class C for our first trip and tried to fit the Rhino flex Sewer hose in the back bumper and it won't fit. The fittings will not go in. (I did take of the elbow) Anyone else have this problem? from the looks of it I don't think my bumper is square it looks like the back wall is curved on both ends so 3 straight sides and the back wall curves in.

Thanks, curious if anyone else had this issue on a Thor Freedom Elite 30FE

What year is yours? I have the same model just a 2017, and my tube fits in. I do have to align it just right to get the one end in.

I have a 2020, with a 2021 chassis, not sure who supplies the bumper I assume that would be Thor and not Ford. I will play with it a bit more and see if there is a "perfect" position.

Thanks

Can you remove the end fittings, an re-attach them for deployment?
(I know: that's not ideal... )

So this is what our bumper looks like and how I get the hose in there.

I guess that the moral of this story should be: "Meaure before you buy, and assume nothing."

I never liked the idea of using the bumper. The last thing it needs is to be wet inside all the time. When I had a coach with such a bumper I just used my wet bay. It worked better and was more convenient anyway.

Cool

My 2019 30FE is the same way. JHose fits, fittings don't. I store my sewer hoses and fittings in a large Rubbermaid container in the big storage bay. After every trip. I sanitize the container with bleach.

I use the bumper to store a collapsible ladder like the one pictured below that fits perfectly in there.
