As I’ve said many times without question the folks on this forum made my first time RV experience a happy one. The vast knowledge and experience shared here is amazing.

I believe the term everyone is searching for in answer to this question is: "metacomplaining".

My OCD is kicking in. It's "site" not "sight."

I was a member of the Thor Issues and Complaints group for a month. I even asked if anyone had solutions to the issues that were stated. Never got any feedback that wasn't negative about Thor or CW. I felt like I was in the same kind of group think that you would observe on MSNBC, which I do not watch anymore.
I am very happy with this forum and the folks who share experience, solutions and observations. Very refreshing! Thanks to all of you.

Expelled

I was accused of being a “Thor Lover” and kicked out when I told the loudest complainer that maybe her attitude had something to do with her inability to get any help from Thor customer service. She went on to be the administrator of the group when the founder of the group ( a disgruntled Thor ex-employee) went back to work for a subsidiary of Thor. I do kind of miss the free entertainment but all the constant negativity wears on you after awhile.

I just saw that they have noticed this thread (guess it made it into the newsletter email) and some are upset about it. That was never the intention. However, with that said, it just seems like a waste of time to gripe about something and not listen to reason or valid suggestions. Of course, behold the power of social media and the interwebs… everyone gets much braver behind a keyboard than confronting a dealer/manager/service tech/fellow owner in person.

For those that have such horrible build issues, I do feel for them. As to my comments, I have been unfriended on Facebook for far worse "atrocities."

Oh well, it was time to quit before I got kicked out of the group anyway. One person really took offense to this thread and said that I called them names and misrepresented what I said. Any attempts to have a civil conversation went south quickly. Buh-bye!

They're welcome to come in here... and learn how to solve problems; rather than just whine about them!

That explains why ...

… I left the Thor Motorhome Owners FB group and the Thor A.C.E. Owners FB group.

Well feel for me. I paid top-dollar right off the showroom for my 2017 Thor Chateau and it started falling apart. The mud flaps fell off and wore a hole in the Duallys when it kept hitting it.
I waited a month for an appointment at the dealer they had it 3 weeks and they put the same damn mud flap back on that had the hole in it. Never ordered a new one. When the old one fell off again I called them and they were supposed to order one and I would put it on and they never did. So much for customer service at the dealer. I'm going to contact for directly even though it's a year old now and they'll probably make me pay for it but I've had to get new Plumbing because it leaked all the drawer slides broke and a new bathroom door cuz it kept swinging open. I love my Chateau but not the workmanship.

I did read your thread on the mud flaps and the incompetence of the dealers. For the record, I am no Thor apologist. It is amazing to me how much of the customer satisfaction (or lack thereof) that is left in the dealers hands. Hopefully Thor will make it right.

I agree: This is a "Dealer Quality" issue...

Well, those of you that have read my posts on other threads know that even though multiple dealers have let me down...a common problem... Thor service has come through for me above and beyond their responsibility. Their product may have issues from time to time, but I continue to maintain, I'd have Thors baby. To gripe and whine without giving them a chance to make things right is not constructive...just drama.
