We use pods from Costco the Kirkland Brand. It is made for front loaders. We purchased a small bottle of softener at the Dollar Store. I am sure Dollar General has them too. We refill it with the large softener bottle from Costco. The two stores mentioned should have the small laundry detergent bottles as well. Just make sure that it is for front load washers.
