Tire Pressure Class A

I know the best way to determine proper tire pressure is to weigh each corner and use the charts.
But I wanted to find out what most have been using?
I have a 28000 pound rig, Windsport 36ft, with 235/80 x 21 inch tires. I run 90 psi on all 6 tires.

Our rig says to use 100lb on our 255/80-22.5 Michelin XRV tires. GVWR is 24K. We had it weighed and came in around 23K, fully loaded with everyone in the coach. I forget the exact numbers, but our front and back GAWR were nicely under by a very comfortable amount (I don’t have the sheet handy right now). The only thing I don’t know is the side-to-side, so I went with 15% margin above the actual weight.

Using the Michelin tire weight chart, I found I could run the tires at 90lbs and still have a pretty hefty safety margin (like 20%). We usually run about 93-95lbs and the ride is considerably smoother then at the 100 on the sticker.

So, you can possibly run lower than the sticker says, but you really don’t know unless you weigh it.

Tire Pressure

When I first got my Windsport, 5 years ago, it had 100 psi in all 6 tires. But the tide was very harsh. I lowered it to 95, then to 90. The ride quality improved a lot and it was my understanding I could hot to 85 psi but I never had the nerve to go that low

So what year and chassis is your Windsport? F53 chassis only go to 26,000 lbs and run 235/80R x 22.5 tires.

Older Windsports on the Workhorse chassis topped out at 22,000 lbs GVWR and used 19.5" tires.

My error, they are 22.5 in tires
Its a 2007 F53 chassis, the coach is a 2008
And the chassis limits are GVWR 22, 000 GCWR 26,000
