Well they have not earned the nickname "sucky" TVs for nothing. Just unscrew from bracket sometimes hard to get to but doable. Just make sure your replacement TV has a similar profile not too thick or oddly configured it power and inputs. Should be easy enough. Ours does not swivel as far since our Roku is fatter but it's worth it.

We changed ours out as well. Note that not all TVs of similar size will use the same mounting pattern or same size bolts. Our main Seiki 40 inch used M6 bolts but the replacement Samsung uses M8 bolts. That required a little work to drill out the holes in the mounting assembly to accommodate the larger bolts. I also had to move the vertical arms a bit since the Samsung was thinner (when it was closed the TV body was pressed into the corner and the assembly wouldn't latch.)

We've had no problems with our Seiki TV. So far, at least.

We changed the bedroom seeking to a Roku. In the ACE 27.1 the bedroom tv is only 24". When we bought the new to us rig, we were told we had a 28" tv in the bedroom & never checked, so when we tried to switch it for a 28" Vizio we already had, we were quite surprised. We had to get a 12" Philips head screw driver to fit behind the tv to get to the mount and to remove the old tv, we had to cut the cord holders that attached the cord cover to the cubby ceiling behind the mount. Once everything we needed, the actually switch took almost no time at all. The new Insignia tv fits great, maybe even better because it is a little differently configured in the back, causing it to tilt more than the original The original mount was able to be reused and secures the tv to the front of the cubby. The 12" screwdriver is now stored in the RV so when/ if we switch out the main tv I the cabin we have the tool we need.

Side note: the Vizio tv was found to have a non removable cord that stuck straight out the back which would prevent it from mounting flat with the type of flat mounts supplied in the Thor as there is not enough room in between the mount and the wall to allow for a plug sticking out 1-1/2"

Now I know if/when shopping for new cabin tv, I will look for a bottom mounted cord the sticks down - not out!
