just brainstorming...and maybe a crazy idea
but maybe you could install a hatch, something like this
https://www.westmarine.com/buy/barto...54?recordNum=1
strategically located.
either
a) it might help with an occasional cleanout
and / or
b) which is what I would hope for if I were you, maybe it would give you access enough to jury rig a fix
I'll qualify that I think it would have to be up very high on the tank, or even in the top

How about just standing on the "flush-pedal", and shove a spray-wand down it's throat?
That should clean it out!

On the 29M the toilet is not directly over the tank, waste goes thru an elbow, I've only had one clog so far. I don't think any combination of paper or chemicals will make a difference, only plenty of water with each flush.

Semper Fi, Brother. The customer service rep suggested I put enough water in the tank to be able to see it down the hole. That means my tank would always be about 90% full. I'm going to try the dishsoap/calgon method and see how that works out. Fortunately, I can see my tank through a storage door and (if all else fails) I will hunt for a spray attachment and someone who knows about plumbing the thing! I was at Da Nang '65-'66.

RidX doesn't stay in the tank long enough to do its job.

Thanks! I kind of figured that, but figured that it was worth asking...
So what IS the quickest-acting, poop-destroying stuff on the market?

stop blaming Thor, or ANY manufacturer, who all install gravity toilets this way, it's standard. RVs do not have 'flush' toilets like in your home, but have different systems and ways to handle it - gravity being the most common.
the toilet sits right over the far end of the black tank, and yes, at the 'thinnest' side due to the toilet being on the OPPOSITE side of the black tank drain, which is on the driver side. Gravity works 'down' the slope and to the drain. Your toilet sits right over the 'highest' part of the black tank, on the passenger side of the coach.
many folks who 'struggle', at least initially, with the 'pyramid' effect, do so because:
A) they don't provide enough WATER to effectively 'flush' the toilet
B) same as above
C) ... you get the picture
WATER is the answer
those who have gravity toilets eventually realize that water is the answer... not the type of toilet paper, or the type or brand of tank cleaners, or how often you 'wash out' your black tank - those have nothing to do with the 'pyramid' effect.
yes, we eventually learned it the same way most folks do - the stoppage of the toilet will give you some sleepless nights, and some fun times with a stick.

I like the way that you think!
You'd be an asset in our deer camp: we've got a "Two-Holer" to contend with!
...And NO water at all!

Make sure you have water and solution in tank before you drive. Use RV tp. Also before doing number two I out water in bowl then take tp and for a cross. This helped going down when flushed.

Of all the different units I've had, this is the first with a clogging problem. It is Thor's problem (and now mine, damn it!). They did not allow enough space for things to move out from under the pipe. The tank is to shallow under the toilet installation.

But once you own the tank (and everything else that's hooked to it!); isn't "pointing fingers", just a little bit... pointless??
Move forward: don't waste time looking rearward...

For the stubborn messes, we have resorted to a coat hanger to break it up and then dump ice cubes into the toilet so the mass will flow downhill. That trick also helps when about to drive any kind of distance, the ice cubes will slosh around and break up some of the mess.

Someone told me years ago when I had my first MH that you should always dump ice cubes down the toilet and fill the black tank with them when you've been at one campsite for an extended period of time. The logic was two fold: the cold will cause any mess that's accumulated in the tank to become more rigid and thus breakup easier and 2) the melt water will then wash the mess to the low point in the tank.
Of course you want to dump your tanks as soon as you arrive at your stopping point for that night. It's always worked for me.

While you're in transit: the ice cubes will also act to bust up whatever is solid in the tank!
(Kind of like a gigantic brass casing polisher!
