Toll Booth Navigation

I woke up this morning with a dilemma; how do I pay at the toll booth while navigating a turnpike? I have a screen on the driver's sliding window. I don't want to exit the RV to walk around overtime I go through one.

Can anyone help?

Hello!
On our 2015 ACE 29.2 we have a similar set up... The window slides forward, as does the screen, allowing you to part with your cash from the convenience of your drivers seat!

I will have to look at mine more closely. It is at the shop getting repairs, so I will have to wait. [emoji17]

We use an Ezpass which is accepted at most tolls in the Mid-Atlantic and North East. Makes it real easy and usually gets you through he tolls quicker.

I thought about the EZ Pass as well (I have it for all my cars) however, the issue is towing or not towing. If I get one that includes the tow vehicle, as required when towing, then when it is used when not towing the state gets extra money (tolls are based on number of axels). I hate paying the state money they don't deserve.

Until I make a final decision I'll just let the toll taker earn their pay.

We have our EZ Pass through New Jersey. We got it through New Jersey because Maryland has additional fees I was not willing to pay. I talked to them before getting the EZ Pass for the RV and they told me that when going through the toll booths the number of axles are automatically counted. If you are not towing, then you are not charged for the extra axles.

I have ordered another PikePass (Oklahoma/Kansas) for the coach. It won't be here for another 10-14 days. I have to traverse a turnpike on Friday and was having minor anxiety attacks about being honked at while I exited the coach to pay the toll. :-)

We just did tolls on I80/90 in indiana this weekend. I was able to pay thru the drivers window. One stop was a lady collecting and the other was automated but I was able to easily lean out the window to put cash in the machine. I don't think you should have much problem.
Your screen will slide forward. just like the window

Not sure about Arkansas but in Virginia if I can't open the driver's window and reach out I can't get a safety inspection sticker. Driver's side window operation is a safety related item.

No safety inspections in Arkansas anymore.

Don't forget about crossing the border (into or out of Canada, for instance). You need to be able to hand over your passports (or "Enhanced driver's licenses" if your state supports them). I would imagine it would be the same going to Mexico as well.

We don't hit toll roads that much but we are in Canada at least one trip a year.

I made it through the toll booths with millimeters to spare. [emoji3]

The screen did open, of course. It was a little nerve racking the first time, but I still can't wait for my PikePass.
