Exclamation Two black dump valves on axis-vegas

Just want to caution anyone buying a 2020 Thor Vegas or Axis.. the black tank is on the passenger side of coach. There is a dump valve coming out of it that is kinda hidden you have to look under the coach. This is in addition to the gray and black dump valves on the drivers side. No one at General RV seemed to know this except the service advisor. You have to open both Black gates when dumping black tank..and close both gates. There is a 3" pipe that runs across the coach from the black tank to dump valves. Its pretty exposed and if hit with a rock/branch and it ruptured, it could be a mess if both valves arent closed. Really poor design. They should have put either a long cable pull or an electric gate for the one under the coach. My delivery person didn't point this out.. nor did the coordinator or anyone else. I had to find it on my own. Shame on Thor and General RV for not pointing this out. Could be a real mess for someone who wasn't aware of it.

Our Hurricane has the second valve too. The person we bought it from (used) had no idea it was there when I asked about the second valve! I assume it is there so the extra length of pipe would not fill with crap, literally, and want to plug up. I am NOT planning on off-roading, so never had an issue with it or the multitude of other things underneath the MH getting snagged.

Our Outlaw also had the second "hidden" valve. We decided to keep it closed while not using the RV. Once we got to a park: we'd hook up, and only open it when preparing to actually dump the tank. (Driver's side valve was opened last...) Once things were empty. We'd close them in reverse order...
