Big hats off to dometic

Yesterday I called dometic to speak to a person about our fantastic vent fan that was installed in sept of 2020 as it had started making weird noises and would stop running or slow to a crawl


the customer service person heard my issue. We talked about all the issues and how i had troubleshot the problem to no avail. So she told me to expect a new fan within 5 days, free of charge and have a great day




that was yesterday AFTERNOON.


this afternoon, less than 24hrs later...guess who comes knocking on the door?
UPS, with a new fan unit : thumb:
so an hour later i have my new motor, blade and support unit installed and ready to run, impressive that is showed up less the 24hrs later



i have to call her monday and say thanks

I’ve dealt directly with several component manufacturers and have always found them to be helpful and generous in their response. Exception was Norcold when my new fridge failed. And they were certainly nice enough just had lots of hoops to jump through and took over a month to get resolved. I don’t much blame them though as a new cooling unit is a $1200 part with truck shipping and labor to install.
