Veterans Day

On this day , I would like to extend my thanks to all of those veterans of the past. Those of my Grandfathers generation WW1 hardly any left. those of my father generation that gave so much for this country. To the Korean Vets, and to my own generation of the men I was able to be with. The Vietnam Vets I lost three fellows this year. sign of we are getting older Now 71 no wonder To those who made the great sacrifice in the far east. And let us not forget that those who lost their lives were very young men. In reality they lost two lives . the young man, and that of the future, being husband father grandfather uncle. May God be with them and you on this special day

IO as well want to thank those who have served and are currently serving. They have sacrificed the greatest treasure, life, so that we may enjoy our freedom.

God bless and thank you all.

In 2000 I joined a orginazation of professional, brave, and selfless individuals. We trained, slept, fought, and joked together. Soon we would be at war and continue to be a nation at war for 14 plus years. During that time I have observed numerous acts of selfless service, bravery, courage, hardship, love for another, and the ultimate sacrifice. To my generation of Soldiers I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you do.
To all you "old" guys out there. You continue to amaze me and you are true inspiration to me. From WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Dester Storm, and many other operations many of you have fought and had to endure grewling conditions that I can't imagin. Being a knuckle dragging infantryman I understand some of it but not all.
Last but not least I want to thank the true heroes that never came home from the battlefields. I miss you all and I will see you at final formation.
God bless all you Veterens out there and take care of each other.

I echo all said above. Well said indeed. As has been said many times before; "freedom is not free". Thanks to all who are serving, have served and will serve our great country.

One additional point

Let us not forget the family members of those who have served. Wives, husbands, daughters and sons sacrifice more that folks can imagine so their loved ones can ensure we remain safe and free.

Amen to all comments above.

Thanks to those who have served and their families that supported them!

Lots of changes in public opinion towards the military since my start in 1973. Nice to see more civilians being thankful.

Want to echo my thanks as well to my brothers and sisters in arms... "we few, we happy few, we band of brothers..." and especially express my humble gratitude to those, and their families, who gave, "...their last full measure of devotion."
