Wanted: SD card for avn82nav axxera radio

My rv did not come with the sd card (it was lost by the dealer) that has the nav software and maps on it. Rather that wait a month or so for the dealer to get me one, can someone with the same radio Zip everything on their sd card and send it to me so I can create my own maps card.

I would call Thor CS. Maybe they can overnight you what you need and charge back the dealer. The dealer can do this also if they care enough.

So Thor Customer Service just told me that the sd card is an option and it does not come with the radio. The dealer and the manufacturer say the opposite.

I'm scared of my decision to go with Thor.

If the Dealership will get it for you: I'd take that route.
They didn't say anything about charging you for it: did they?

I just re-read the email and Thor says :
"That card isn’t missing, it is an option. If you want to purchase it the part number is 0435632. Your dealer can order it for you." So yes Bob, there is a charge for it.

If the Dealership is also saying that it's an option: the question becomes, "How much do you want it?"

Whether I want it or not is besides the point, I paid for it when I purchased the rv with the radio in it, so it should be with the rv.

Not sure why you need or want it. My radio has a 4G SD card but the thing is so hard to program and so inferior to my wife's phone it never gets used. It's virtually useless. I get tired having it tell me what the speed limit is when I cross 60 mph. I'm going to remove the SD card next trip and see if it disables the darn thing.

it will only disable the navigation. i have a 8G card in mine and when removed it wont do the navigation but the radio and backup camera etc works.

the navigation is so bad i got a Garmin 770. thinking of reformatting the sd card and using it in a raspberry pi.

Jeff, I’m curious how much you paid for the navigation option. I know my radio has a navigation option but I would way rather use my phone or, even better, my RV Garmin. If it was me I’d ask my dealer to refund the price of the navigation since they didn’t provide it

Pete, since I paid for the RV, I paid for everything inside. This includes the avn82nav with built in navigation. So the radio should come with the sd card according to the radio manufacturer.

BTW I just extended my awning fully and there is no valiance. One more thing it should have come with.

Oh. I hope the dealer agrees with you. There are lots of options or enhancements that are available but not necessarily included in the base price. Do you have the factory “window sticker”?

Don’t mean to ask the obvious, but often the awning valence sticks to the top of the awning from being wet. Did you look on the top side?

So I just got a pleasant surprise in the form of a email from Thor Motorcoach apologizing about the response I received about the SD card from my radio. It does come with the SD card and are not sure why I was told it was a purchase option, but that they would take care of it right away.
