Washer and dryer

If this needs to go to a different section, mods feel free to move it. We are now proud owners of Splendid washer and dryer, not all in one but separate units. The came in the new Valencia and was ordered that way by the dealer. While I'm sure they can be a convenience doing the laundry hasn't been much of a hassle for us to once a week do 2-3 loads at a park laundromat. GFs not particularly happy losing the pantry areas but we'll give them a shot. She's already alluded to seeing them in my garage being stored.

Question is about detergents. The dispenser on the washer calls for liquid or powder but doesn't mention the pods. We have done one load of sheets and threw the pod in with the clothes then started it. But these front loaders and newer ones use less water so we're wondering if a pod really is desirable or appropriate. At home even with a older top loader I still use liquids. What do other successfully use in their RV washer?

Do not use pods! Way to much detergent for a load.

Thanks, that and an even distribution of detergent was a concern.
