Washing machine

On the Miramar 34.2, does the washing machine empty into the black tank or the gray tank??

I don't have your model of rv, but unless they messed it up plumbing it, it will go into the gray. The gray & black SHOULD NOT be mixed.

I thought so, just traveling with the whole family and the grandkids. the black tank was filling up quick so I wasn't sure if it was coming from the washing machine or the extra human cargo thank you

Note that many motorhomes have the bathroom sink plumbed to the black tank (it is that way in my Axis). This is intentional on the manufacturers part (why I don't know--but it is on the drawings Thor sent me).

I think you're right I was reading more about this and I think the bathroom sink does go to the black tank that's probably why it's been filling up so quick thank you

I think it's to keep it diluted so it flows better. Also, if not for that, the gray tank would have to be much larger than the black. It's probably easier to locate two tanks of similar size. Hence a win win.

You are probably right about tank sizes: Our 5th wheel had two grey tanks--almost double grey capacity compared to black.

The only thing is when you're camping you have the gray tank open and a black tank closed with full hook up. So by having the bathroom sink running to the black tank it makes you have to empty it more. Or maybe their way of thinking is you keep the black and the gray open and it's always getting flushed by the bathroom sink

My wife & I were at Fort Wilderness last week. When I duped the black tank after a week the 1/3 light was not even on. Gray tank was over 2/3 for the same period.
