Water heater

We have a tankless water heater in our Thor Outlaw and are having trouble getting used to it. We find that when we are not hooked up to sewer our grey tank fills up quite rapidly. Because it takes so long for the water to get hot you have run a lot of water into the grey tank. Is anyone else experiencing this and is there any solution. Seems as though it is not as efficient as the tank style.

It is efficient in its use of propane, not so efficient in its use of water.

How long does it take to get warm: 10,20,30 60 seconds? Maybe you have a marginal flow rate. I dramatically improved my shower flow rate by removing a white button inside the connection of the hose to the shower head. Flow went up and time to hot water went down and total cold water also went down.

You can catch the first half gallon or so in a jug to use for dish washing later if you are really right on water.

Hint: don't touch the cold water faucet...
Set the temperature to where you want; and only use the hot water faucet.
