What’s it like in your neck of the woods

Sitting here in NW Indiana looking out the window at the snow falling on our ACE, knowing the temps here by early Friday morning are heading to single digits, knowing we should be sitting under a palm tree or a cactus somewhere, and feeling sorry for myself.
DW says we can ‘t get outa Dodge till our only G daughter has her first child later this month. Maybe after that we can head for some sunshine.

Are we the only ones suffering? So let’s hear what it ‘s looking like in your neck of the woods

Supposed to get pretty chili around here Friday: 41 at night and only 65 during the day. Luckily it's supposed to be back up in the 70s after that.

Yea, up hwy 395 to stay in BLM campgrounds, 4 dollars a night for old folks and then after the snow melts. Lake Tahoe for a week or two. Then the last week in June starts our early summer trip to Colorado for a month. Maybe after that back to the Northern California coast and the Red woods! We take our bikes and kayaks with us too so we’re always busy..

How’s the perch these days? We haven’t been to Teibels in few years. Their perch used to be great!

Here in southeastern NC, we've been bouncing back and forth between freezing and 80f for the past few weeks. This weird winter makes us wonder if we wasted our accumulated airline miles and hotel points for a "winter" Caribbean vacation for our anniversary next week.....

....

Nah.

Looking forward to de-winterizing and getting back on the road when we return in early March!

We still have patches of snow left over from Christmas.
Yesterday was 30 degrees with a 2p degree windchill.
Today was very nice.

I think you don't really want to know what the weather is in mid Florida, but since you asked it was nearly a record today. High was somewhere in upper 80's.
Hang on, spring is coming!

Sitting here typing on my laptop, its dark out (you know northern latitudes in winter...it gets dark around 2pm LOL).

Yeah by Friday we're supposed to see cold and snow this evening.

Our first camping trip isn't until April...

Just returned from a week on Lake Whitney, Texas. It was "cold" a couple of days, rained a couple of days but sunny the rest. I managed to play some golf and do some fishing as well as a day trip to Waxahachie. Overall a nice winter trip by Central Texas standards. Winter is prime camping weather around here. Gets too damn hot from late spring to early fall. Gonna head to Lake Medina west of San Antonio in March.

Been snowing here all day but it doesn't look like much accumulation...
At least the road salt is working for now.

Balmy -28 below zero this morning!!

Colder than whatever phrase you would like to put in. The steel box of a school bus was a little chilly. Snow above our waist and cold. We couldn’t be any happier up here in Northern Minnesota. Envious of people living in a more comfortable temperature.
