25 degrees this chilly freezing morning in NE Alabama, just south of Huntsville, over the Tennessee river, which has FLOODED due to the RECORD amount of rain since the first of the year(and, really since Nov when we first moved onto this property in our motorhome and camper)... and NOW, another issue, the only MAIN Interstate 4-Lane divided road from our mountain top area, and down toward the river bridge, has been CLOSED, indefinitely, until FULL repairs can be made to cracks and heaves and crevices now opening up due to the massive amounts of water and water fall, creating washouts UNDER the roadway.... not good. There are little options to getting to town, where we work and go to school.
Also, to add to the negative 'situation', we are going to the folks in GA tomorrow, but getting this 13ton vehicle safely out of this muddy and flooded site is going to be very, very tricky, if at possible at all. There has been so much rain, record rain, that anywhere you move any vehicle when you are not on concrete or asphalt or heavy gravel is going to create a mud hole, a spin out, or both. Fingers crossed. I have it set on railroad ties as a 'permanent' site foundation, which works very well, and keeps the rig off the ground, but backing it off, and to a turn-around spot, and getting down and out the driveway is going to be the problem - or worse yet, getting it BACK into this site when we return next week!
Pray.
(oh, we saw some snow flakes last week.) it's all good : )
