We had them also. Loved them except my wife (5ft, 2in.) had a hard time getting on and off. The step through model is not much of a step through with the battery in the way.
Get yourself a heavy duty bike cover to keep them dry while having them on the carrier. Also make sure you take the batteries out when carrying them.

Hyper X and a neat little bike holder on my trailer hitch. Great to be able to run to the Publix in / at the Coral Sands RV resort in Ormond Beach, FL.

It runs at 18-20 mph, and easy to control and steer. $500 dollars at Walmart, I got the mountain bike style.

Thanks for the link. We made an appointment and did a test ride today to put it through the paces since she is 6'0" and I'm 6'4". Very impressive and smooth ride, especially with the seat upgrade. We liked them so much we ordered two of the XP 2.0s. Now the three week wait!

Thanks to all for the suggestions.

Just a little aside on the ebikes....

When we went to remove the battery from my Aventon Pace 500 today in order to charge it, We were unable to unlock it for removal. Tried all sorts of permutations - key not as far in, key pushed in as hard and far as possible, turn bike on then off and try to unlock. No luck. (This battery has been taken off and charged numerous times without incident, so this is not a "problem from the get-go.")

Since it was a perfect day for a ride, we just charged the battery while it was on the bike.

We also called the local shop where we bought it to ask for advice. All they had were all the things we had already tried (multiple times). So they said bring it in and they would look at it. If they broke anything trying to get the key to work, they would repair what they broke. (Ask me why I like local, small town connections!)

After charging, DH tried to unlock again and... surprise, it worked.

There was a lot of debris (metal filings?, graphite?? or who knows what) that came out with the key. Anyhow, problem seems resolved. And we had a lovely 3 hour ride, without further issues, on a trail that is new to us.

So just a heads up if this happens to anyone else. (Would be curious to hear if it does.)

I have a couple of Specialized Como's and love them - lots of good e-bikes out there, it appears.

Lately I have been wondering if a motorcycle that carries 2 people might be better - way further range/speed. I hate towing, but have a trailer hitch for my dirtbike that holds 500lbs, as does the hitch. Does anybody have experience with a hitch-mounted motorcycle? pros/cons?

Found this recent info?
Anyone have one or thoughts?

RVers love eBikes. Not only are they great for getting around the campground and rallies, they can be a handy alternative to a tow vehicle for hitting those local markets, eateries, and scenic hot spots. It’s also a fun way to spend time outside the RV when hiking or other options are either not available, or not attractive.

The JackRabbit pedal-free micro eBike overcomes many of the standard objections RVers have against buying an eBike. Light, strong, attractive, and compact the JackRabbit micro eBike averages 12-miles on a single charge while only weighing 24 pounds. A spare battery weighing only 2-pounds can be tossed in your backpack to double that range.

If it doesn't have pedals it won't fall into the E-Bike category, so you will have additional rules/restrictions to be aware of.

My ancient jetson electric bike crapped out. I didn't diagnose, just dead.
About 8 years old.
Lifetime warranty.
I'm sending Hammacher Schlemmer the bike using their pre-paid label.
Hammacher Schlemmer is sending me $2,200+-. Full sales price.

Buy wisely.

When I picked up my RadMini (radpowerbikes) they were pretty much the only ones around (for less than $2k).

Still love it. Took it on a ride a few days ago in the snow (sped up 3x--it doesn't go 45mph LOL):

This will be my 4th year with it. Its been a tank LOL--I can pretty much ride it through anything.
