What I used for floor mats and deadening sound

After searching the forum in getting ideas when it comes to floor mats, I came up with this idea.

I got an oversize (32" wide) yoga mat and trimmed it. It wanted to curl up, so I used some double-sided tape to hold down the edges in various places. All it took was one.

I did this for two reasons....give my feet some cushion, and also to help deaden the sound. I also went this route cause because I can remove them and clean them easily. And it was cheap, only $38 (bought on Amazon). Although they come in different colors, I went black...they do have a pattern to them.

Here is the link for the mat - https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08Z33KH...roduct_details

Creative solution.

Well done, looks good. How good is the sound abatement?

Well...it's hard to tell, cause I also put in the Dynamat. I figure it this way...can't hurt and it's an inexpensive floor mat that has cushion.

A sound deadening material that is like a rubber mat with one side sticky and the other side has an aluminum foil on it. You can Google it.

I lined the doghouse with the dynamat heat shield. Helped the noise considerably. I use 2 tan indoor/outdoor mats on both driver side and passenger floors. Some on this forum have also stuck it up inside the fender areas. On the underside of the floor. That, however, requires working at an angle that is not conducive for beer drinking.
