What insurance company for your RV

I have insurance thru Allied on our 2016 Thor Hurricane 35C a Nationwide company, with Camping World as the agent. Just received notification from CW that Allied will not b renewing any RV policies. Cost is around $1,000 per year with $500 deductible.

What insurers are other RV people using?

We use Geico for the RV and the cars, RV is 456.00 for 6 months with 500 ded 300,000/100,000. But the price all depends on what state you live in and the amount of coverage

I use the Safeco family of Companies for my policies...
Just over $900 per year for the RV.

Been with Safeco with everything for over 25 years but use Progressive on the RV's. Progressive and Geico are hard to beat with RV's. I chose this separation so as not to cause a rate hike on everything else just because of an issue with the RV. It's the most likely to have a claim.

Geico, packaged with my other vehicles, a little under a $500 every six months.

I have Nationwide and it has increased from $590/yr, in 2016 to the last noticed received of $875. Nothing changed except my age when I moved north of 75 last year. I think that puts me in the geezer category.

you'll get all different and various answers here, because we are all different and varied...there is no 'one' company that is the 'best' for all of us.... take your pick, and go camping.

USAA partners with Progressive. Pay little under $500/year. Lots of variables from everyone else, but have a 2018 24’ FE in Alaska.

I got a policy from Farmers/Foremost for nearly half of what GoodSam quoted. 700 a year.
GoodSam gave me an estament of 700 and then found a speeding ticket on my record and doubled their quote to 1400.
Not on my watch!

Insurance

Got Progressive when purchased new 2016 ACE. Moved to AAA where three other vehicles and home are insured. Got better coverage and saved about 350 per year. Traded up to 2018 Challenger and premium went up very little.

Good Sam is not an insurance company...they just make a commission for sending you somewhere else. That's why the rates are higher.

It must have been an outstanding velocity that they recorded...
(40 years of selling insurance: so far!)
They only charge the rates that we earn with our driving records.

Some good comments, but your rate and coverage depends on many factors, including driving record, age, location, etc. Shop around and include agencies that are independent, rather than direct writers like St Farm.
I've had best results with a nationwide agency, Overland Ins Services. They specialize in RV coverage. 800-677-4027. It's a family operation. Most of my local agents wouldn't know a Class A from a Class C from a Class F. (A must be higher quality, right?)

And don’t forget the value of the vehicle you are insuring. Even storage location can make a difference.

All our vehicles including the RV are insured with AAA. At least in Nebraska that requires us to have AAA Plus or some such thing to cover the RV. We have a 2016 A.C.E. and I think our annual premium is in the $300-500 range for the RV. We used the AAA Plus road service when we were about 25 miles from Omaha on the Interstate when one of the rear tires flew off & across all lanes & median of the interstate. AAA brought out a semi flatbed, loaded our Durango & camper on, & delivered it to the dealer in Omaha. We have been very happy with them.

Thumbs up Allied dropped RV coverage, I'm with Progressive now.

After I received my notice from Allied that they were no longer covering RVs, I shopped around. I was pointed to Progressive by Good Sam rep. Progressive gave me a years coverage for almost $400 less per year.
I had to call Progressive to set up auto pay. Of course my auto pay didn't go through the first time. I had to call again and I got The Best Progressive agent ever. She not only took over and fixed the SNAFU but she was in constant communication with me about my new policy and my rate/payment schedule. I've been with GEICO since 1965 and never have I had such good customer support from them. And Progressive gave me a lower rate on a single vehicle than GEICO offered adding my RV in a package deal.
I'm impressed with Progressive and just may switch my three cars/trucks from GEICO.
