Winds

We will never drive through Wyoming again, and avoid Montana if possible. Texas panhandle scares the crap out of me.

My point: winds bad

Back in the early 1970's I lived near Palm Springs after I got out of the Army.
You guys have not mentioned the blowing sand that sand blasts your paint and
chrome.

Back in 2016 had a Class A MH and lost a awning in Wyoming due to 30+ mph
winds. Broke the springs in the tube. No rolling it back up, just cut if off and
replaced the awning after the trip.

You can still find spots with the blowing sand in the Palm Springs area but not as prevalent as it was back then because of the development of the entire area. Just not as much open sand as there was back then.
