Windshield streas

I have a Windsport that constantly has huge drip/streaks from rain and dew. What can I do other than cover my whole rig to help prevent this?

Rain-X 5071268 2-in-1 Glass Cleaner and Rain Repellant works for me. But then again, rain is a rear occurrence in these parts.

Three steps:
(1)
Thoroughly wash/scrub the roof. If it's a non-membrane roof, give it a good wax job. This will minimize the "dirt runoff" from the roof. Keep the roof clean.

(2)
To help keep the windshield itself clean, or MUCH EASIER to clean:
I make up my own homebrew "Windex"... in about a gallon of water in a small pail, add about a cup of ammonia and 3 or 4 drops of Dawn liquid dish detergent.
THOROUGHLY scrub/clean/squeegee the windshield. Be sure to clean your wiper blades with the same solution.

(3)
Then apply a good coat of a glass wax product - Rain-X or similar - to the windshield. Most brands of that stuff work about the same, and will need re-applied every so often.

If you drive over 50 mph in the rain, you probably won't even need your wipers on!

Thanks for the great ideas. I am wondering if anyone attached a drip edge of some sort above the windshield?

I agree...looks like chalking from the roof. Clean that off

and a good coat of a hydrophobic coating.... rain-x or one of teh more sophisticated ceramic coatings meant for glass.

and seems to me you could add a rain gutter...might help a bit. There are several stick-on versions out there...some are like rubber weather stripping in the form of a "J". Not sure how well they'd hold up in the long run out front like that...but they'd probably help a bit. regardless, I think the 1st two would give you more bang for the buck

If worried about gutter not sticking, you could probably just run a line of self-leveling sealant to make a ridge that would direct the water to the sides and keep it from running down the front.
