Winter RV Shows

My wife and I are somewhat new to the scene (been RV’ing in our ACE 30.2 for just over a year now - weekend warriors). We have fallen in love with camping and absolutely HATE to see our season come to an end for the winter months. We would love to go to a big RV show over the winter to meet new folks, see new products and camping inventions/ideas, and like most of us, look at the BIG BOYS and dream. However, we have no idea where to begin, and I was hoping that some of you seasoned RV’ers could recommend a big RV show that you’ve attended in the past or are planning to attend. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

The only problem with going to RV shows: it's too easy to "Change horses; in the middle of a stream"!

Come on down and enjoy the weather. You can even say onsite for the week- it is like disneyland for RV's. Great show. Everything you would ever want to see.

I agree, the RV Super Show in Tampa, mid January, is the greatest. We have fun and see lots of coaches and every vender you can imagine is there with really good price reductions. There is also several educational classes that cover subjects from pulling your toad to cooking with convection ovens. You will have a difficult time getting a reservation at a nearby campground but you can boondock at the fairgrounds (where the show is held) pretty cheap. We usually book a hotel and drive over in the morning, we live two hours away. Even the hotels are full of RVers there for the show. We love talking to those who have been at it for years as well as the newbies like us that have stories to tell. It is a great experience and, in my opinion, the best of the best in RV shows. I hope to see some of the forum folks there. Maybe someone could start a thread for those of us that would like to meet at the show??? Hope to see you there.
