Leaking water heater

I brought my brand ne 2020 Daybreak home. Flushed the antifreeze etc and after filling the fresh water tank, I turned on the pump to test the water heater. It did work, but it had a leak inside, misting water spray from the heating coils. I knew that it was nit repairable and had to be replaced. A call to the dealer revealed that I would be out of a camper fir most of the summer. I went on google and found a dealer who was selling new replacements for $500. I had it in three days and replacing it took an hour. I like it but because of habit, I would be more comfortable with a tank.
I set the temp to 100 F. When showering I open only the hot valve and don't worry about using too much hot water.

Thank you I still have not solved my problems. I installed a pressure guage on the intake but cannot get the pressure above 40 I have tried lowering the temp but the heater will come on sporadically for seconds and seemingly for no reason other than that is what is supposed to happen and has not been happening. I am going to try using only the tank and pump today to see if that helps.

I have finally got the tank less water heater to work good.
you have to have an adjustable pressure regular, set to 55 to 58 pounds.
use a 5/8 hose, I found that for some reason a zero G 5/8 hose works the best. You may have to adjust the regular at different camp sites depend on there water pressure.
