I thought it was interesting. Wife said if true they will flag it.

My 3 year old grandson had been home 3 weeks when we saw him. No runny nose from being at day care. First time since he started day care at 12 months.

We going to sit tight for now.

Massachusetts passed 10,000 and 154 dead.
Still adding daily. Scary times.

10402 and 192 deaths as of 8:00 pm tonight per Johns Hopkins. At 1/3 the population of Florida, but at a much higher density, that is scary.

My daughter is a med scientist in Boston. She told me that they are tracking death probability by taking a county total population and multiply by 0.01. They is probable death rate on August 4, 2020. But if everyone stays home things could go down but as of yesterday it was going up. Stay in stay safe God bless our med staffs and cleaning crews

Case Study

In Emergency Service we train a lot. Many times we will train using case studies. We will study various emergencies and how they were mitigated to plan for what we might do if something similar happens on our watch. We examine what worked well, what didn’t work so well to try to have a safe and successful outcome. Having prefaced with that I am offering a case study of a relatively small Georgia City that is currently being overwhelmed by the COVID19 outbreak. This isn’t California, it isn’t New York or Chicago or Michigan. It’s Albany Georgia and they are getting pummeled. This can happen anywhere. I’m not posting this as to incite a politically charged discussion. I’m posting this in the interest of education and providing perspective. It doesn’t really matter where you live or what political tribe you are part of. Georgia now thinks that this outbreak was spawned at a funeral service. All it takes is one infected person and they don’t need to have any symptoms. This virus doesn’t discriminate. Please be vigilant. Please stay home. Please don’t go to church services or any other large gatherings. Keep your distance.

We are now up to 88 cases in a three county area. 50 of those cases are in the county we live in. Three deaths so far. Our county tested 82 people yesterday. I’m sure our number of positive cases will increase once those results come back. Very scary

Idaho

We have stayed at 37 cases in our county with no deaths for several days, but Blaine County in central state has over 400 cases with 2 deaths—major tourist and ski area, it and neighboring county accounts for almost 1/2 cases in Idaho. Our state has over 1000 cases with 10 deaths. Everyone, stay safe.

Now that we know what they are projecting: let's see if we can do better!
I wonder if they've taken into account the great toilet paper riots of 2020?

Local grocery store is selling TP for $1/roll limit 1 roll! LOL

Just think: In 2025 the kids will celebrate using the last roll their parents purchased back in 2020!

(Figures from midnight 4/03) 313 cases in my home Lake County Indiana with 8 deaths.
State wide we are at 3,953 cases, 116 deaths. Total tested for CV19 = 19,800.
That puts the positive for virus at just under 20% and the death rate at almost 6% of those tested.
Considering the state's estimated population is 6.75 million that means just 2.9% of the population has been tested. So of the tested we are running roughly 1 in 5 with the virus.
We know more testing is going to show more positive cases and we still have people around here that say this is overblown. I wish that were true but numbers don't lie...

The DW got one of the the "we won't use it all in six months" packs of toilet paper from Sams Club during their "Seniors Hour" last week.

We also got 18 (6 packs of 3 ea) N95 masks yesterday and some hand sanitizer wipes today, both of which were ordered from Amazon last week. The hand sanitizer wipes were a Kroger brand sold through Amazon.

Stuff is out there it is just a matter of timing.

I read a long article about why the toilet paper shortage.
The article said there are two types of toilet paper mills in the industry, Home and Commercial toilet paper.
Mfgrs are running round the clock but that there is only finite production of the nice neat home sized rolls they can make. The article said those lines run round the clock anyway even without a crisis. There was some initial hoarding that caused the shortages and they are trying to keep up. Distribution is becoming an issue as business' that don't normally sell a lot of TP are requesting more of the supply. We as a nation are using more TP at home as people aren't working.
Which brings up the other portion of toilet paper mfgring, that is the large industrial rolls of paper used at many factories, rest areas, campgrounds, restaurants etc. Those lines cannot be converted over to the nice fluffy paper we use at home without major retooling and expense.
Who would have thunk not crapping at work would cause our national TP shortage.

Costco out here in California regulated on the hoarders by tightening up on their return policy and rationing on certain items.

Been busy in our county: we went from 4 cases to 10 cases in 24 hours - none hospitalized.
County to the west is at 17 with 4 hospitalizations now. Seems like 16 of those 17 are related to a long term care facility, the other one is someone who traveled to NY.
County to the east got 2 new cases for a total of 11 but still only 2 hospitalized.

Current numbers for the State are:
Confirmed Cases: 11,545
Deaths: 195 = 1.7% same as last spot check
Hospitalized: 1470 = 16.9% up by 4%

I haven't looked at the actual prices, but I feel like I should have bought stock in Amazon, Lowes, and Homedepot a month ago

Wife has been busy this weekend making masks.

It boggles my mind the number of people out and about wearing N95 masks? Where did they get them? How many went out the back door of our hospital?
