Thanks for the tips. I think you are right on. Lasers would be best. If I put a welt on wife I would pay for it forever. I will look into lasers.

Be safe people! We will get through this.

Sorry! Have to agree with Ted & Melinda.
If you want/need to walk your dog take it to the park or better yet a dog park.
If someone is in physical need of a service dog by all means they are welcome
in, but the emotional support thing, in my opinion, is just a way to take little Fifi or Brutus everywhere. If they are needed they should be wearing the vest with some sort of tag indicating they are indeed a service dog. Which by the way if they are certified service animal the owner wouldn't allow the petting by everyone walking by, the animals have a job to do.
Haven't seen/read whether this virus can be spread by animals, but to me I wouldn't know why it couldn't. I'm not petting anyone elses pet, but that's just me.

When I see an animal in a store of any sort I instantly formulate an opinion about the person.
It isn't my best effort at understanding, it's more of why bring a nuisance to such a place?

Is it 'hey! Look at meMeME!' like iguana on his shoulder guy, or is it a dependance that needs addressed? It doesn't matter which. First impressions yadda yadda. I find another aisle so as to avoid.

I need the emotional support of not seeing an emotional support animal without the correct document attached to the animals vest.

I consider this my hidden disability. Do not lament against it.

Cool

Another update from our neck of the woods:

We got 2 more cases in our county for a total of 18 confirmed cases with 3 hospitalized now.
The county to our west has continued to blossom with a total of 54 cases now with 8 hospitalizations.
The county to our east has 16 cases, 6 hospitalized and 2 deaths, This is another county that started with and most cases are associated with a long term care facility.
Gainesville to our south is up to 154 cases with 21 hospitalized.

Current numbers for the State are:
Confirmed Cases: 16,826
Deaths: 371 = 2.2 % up from 2.0% last spot check
Hospitalized: 2298 = 13.7%, up from 12.8% last spot check

New cases continue to trend downward statewide.
Here's the current statewide new case curve:

I just spoke with my County Health Nurse about the numbers: We're now up to just over 300 cases in Sullivan County, NY

I suppose that if you subtract those unfortunate to have passed from the number of cases that the remainder went home with no I'll effects from this virus.
By listening to all the reports, which I've quit doing, it's apparently not an immediate death sentence if you've got it as the news media would have you believe.
The news medias implications are not "stay at home, stay safe" but rather "cower in your house scared & get your affairs in order in case you get it".

A lot of it depends upon your state of health before you end up with it...

Age and sex along with comorbidity and the survival rate doesn't look good if you are infected.

My Primary care Physician caught it early last Month. Unfortunately: she also gave it to her Husband.
She recovered in just five days, and is fine...
He is not being so lucky. He's in for the fight of this life, and is receiving oxygen.
(But he had some underlying health issues that exacerbate the situation.)

I've come to the conclusion hospital's are milking this as they do anything.
I'll have to Guess, and it's just a guess, someone who is having a heart attack is tested for covid. Heroin od gets a test. The test costs a minor fortune according to some.

The hospital my brother in law died in charged for hearing therapy on a near deaf man in a coma.
Not a soul in the world hasn't heard of the $200 aspirin charges from hospitals. You don't think suddenly they have valor? Suddenly they're saintly administration's who won't do such a thing?
Now apply the $200 aspirin logic to the covid tests.
There is a recent thread here when some are belly aching about opt out boxes versus opt in boxes and think they are held harmless because they didn't read the contract they signed. Now apply this to a hospital entrance form and the government reimbursements to hospitals.

When it's all done, we'll compare historic funeral home admissions with this year's funeral home admissions.
I think we'll be startled one way or the other.

The good news is someone I know received a stipend from a company which has gone defunct.
Their $600 monthly loss(3% of their monthly income) is now good to become $240 a week PLUS $600 a week for 26 months per our governor.
He said any downturn in income will be covered.
It's really going to make up nicely for them not qualifying for the $1,200.

Try to get help at Mcdonalds when it $3500 a moth for six months if you don't go to work.

I'm not following the numbers.
It's a morbid game show with some audience members gleefully wringing their hands while others are scared to death. We can only wonder of the self imposed and actually imposed stress and it's contributions to future health problems.

They have announced health care workers being laid off in Kentucky. Like 800 or so.
A week ago they were all working 12 hour shifts and couldn't catch up?
Must be some politicians in healthcare?
Excuse is elective procedures are down. Must be new math...

Quick update from north Florida this morning:
Our county now has 23 cases with no deaths and 4 hospitalizations.
The county to the west now has 59 cases, 51 of those related to a long term care facility. Of those 51, 30 are employees and only 21 are residents. 9 are now in the hospital but known have died.
No change since last update with the county to the east.

New cases in the state continues to trend downward.

On one of my tv's I have never logged into YouTube. My address shuffles itself through the internet system so on this TV it's not easily followed. I do this for no reason other than to get a randomness on youtube. I am logged in through Netflix and roku and Amazon so maybe there's some bleed over but essentially this YouTube is not related to my other YouTube searches ever. Nothing I've seen on this randomness youtube is ever prescribed on my logged in YouTube.

So
Today I'm watching what the nonsubscription/never logged in prescribed, I arrow down to see what's suggested within the suggestion and the stuff in my attached picture pops up.

It appears YouTube algorithms think cuomos news conferences are directly related to finding Bigfoot.

This is in no way a political post. I don't know red from a blue from a green from a pink...and don't care to.

Lake County Indiana, a stones throw from metropolitan Chicago, we have 1095 reported cases of Covid 19 and 43 souls have passed from the virus. Statewide we are at 10,641 cases of CV and 545 people have died from the virus.
New infections seem to have slowed a bit over the last three days. Our state board of health director says deaths will continue to spike as those in hospital that our critical pass. The thing to watch is new infection numbers. Hopefully they will continue to decline.

Idaho.

We have close to 1600 cases in state and 53 deaths. My county is next to Wa border (by Spokane) we have 50 cases and no deaths. Our biggest problem is WA state has much stricter lockdowns and Wa people all come over to us.

Unfortunately, I've been watching more TV lately. I came across a program aired on the local PBS station called "More or Less Perfect Union...".

I can't believe what we've let happen to us. It's a real eye-opener.

We at 71 with 7 deaths in central Florida county. Staying away from South house. Not worth risk in either direction. Miss the grandsons but ee facetime.

Have a grocery/bank run this week. Biggest concern is weight gain from sitting still too much. Coated roof Sunday now starting and moving RV. Already ran generators and racecar. Need to wash everything ahead of next race. Hopefully early May can at least got to track some. Wife made batch of masks which were distributed to freinds/family by mail.

I agree with phased restart of economy. Stagnation not good. People take reasonable precautions and this should pass. We each have ultimate control of what we do. I wear gloves and mask anytime I stop and wipe whatever I buy.

You all be safe.
