Hello Fellow Campers Immune by April - Have fun

We’ll Have Herd Immunity by April
Covid cases have dropped 77% in six weeks. Experts should level with the public about the good news
Amid the dire Covid warnings, one crucial fact has been largely ignored: Cases are down 77% over the past six weeks. If a medication slashed cases by 77%, we’d call it a miracle pill. Why is the number of cases plummeting much faster than experts predicted?

In large part because natural immunity from prior infection is far more common than can be measured by testing. Testing has been capturing only from 10% to 25% of infections, depending on when during the pandemic someone got the virus. Applying a time-weighted case capture average of 1 in 6.5 to the cumulative 28 million confirmed cases would mean about 55% of Americans have natural immunity.

I was at Mercy, Springfield MO yesterday for an annual check up

COVID icu complete empty, was 93 at the peak

50 active patients in SW MO in total

Fauci us so full of it

Second layer mask anyone?

On a very positive note we all should have a much better camping season

Certainly is good news for everyone except for the ones making the bucks off the pandemic which now seems to be an endemic

Let's go camping and celebrate!

Nancy Pelosi has sued Stanford Hospital, saying that "after her husband had surgery there, he lost all interest in sex".

A hospital spokesman replied: "Your husband was admitted for cataract surgery. All we did was correct his eyesight.”

She's very old.
In her time, she and Gloria Steinem were almost ravishingly pretty.
Almost Barbarella type pretty.
Not beautiful, that's reserved for
Maggie The Cat and Leslie Benedict.

I enjoy that Nancy is well coiffed and well groomed and considerate of her presentment.
Frumps and lumps are not my thing.

Anecdotal, but the decline in Covid-19 cases has happened as hospital workers, doctors, and all staff have had their shots.

Go visit Mercy Hospital now and take a look. Still think the scientists are full of it?

We go camping, not sure what to celebrate though!

So do you know what the count is?

How many on ventilators?

Where are you coming from?

I am out on a trip enjoying the summer. You should do the same and relax

Had the shots... wore the mask... social distance - everything that was asked. Allegedly cases are now rising in our area among non-vaccinated. Possibly going back to masks indoors.

Sorry... I'm done with that. There are some who cannot get vaccinated due to medical reasons, age etc. and I feel for them... that's a tough situation. But if it was simply "choice"? Sorry... you're on your own - live with your choices.

Here you go my friend:

https://health.mo.gov/living/healthc...healthcare.php

That is the MO State website and you can updated numbers anytime.

Not sure what you mean by where you coming from.....I live just outside Ft. Leonard Wood.

Safe travels.

We agree 200%. So tired of the Fauci Flip Flops.

I saw a headline online today: 3 teenagers on ventilators in Arkansas - all eligible for the vaccine.

Seems this latest outbreak is mostly (> 98%) among the unvaccinated. IF we didn't have vaccines available I would have some empathy but look at the number of inactive vaccine sites that have been shut down over the last few months. Sorry, choosing to not get vaccinated has consequences. I'm not going back into lockdown due to paranoid, uneducated people refusing to get vaccinated.

I also agree choices have, and should have, consequences. I particularly hate to see so many young people unnecessarily dying because they refused the risk of a vaccine when the risk of no vaccine seems so much greater.

However, I don’t see Fauci as flip flopping as you suggest. Adapting to changing situation and conditions based on new data is not the same thing in my opinion. I’m pretty sure no one would have predicted that so many Americans would have remained unvaccinated, or that the Delta variant would be so contagious.

Months ago few would have predicted that those of us that have been vaccinated could get and spread the Delta variant so easily, even if we don’t get sick enough to end up in the hospital or dead in large numbers ourselves. This is important to me because my mother can not be vaccinated (doctor recommends against it) so I could spread it to her without even knowing I’m carrying the Covid virus. It is really unfortunate that we collectively didn’t put an end to Covid months ago when we had the opportunity.

Personally we have no sympathy for those that get sick and refused the shot. Their refusal to take the virus seriously has put us in this position of back to masks and other possible restrictions. Frankly we are fed up with it. First mistake was not requiring proof of vaccinations to go without a mask! Around here every dip stick and his brother took off the mask as soon as that statement was made. And this crap where a vaccine passport infringes on somebodies rights is just bs! You don't want a vaccine that is your right, fine then stay home! If I own the business I have the right to refuse service to anyone! No shirt, no shoes, no vax card, NO SERVICE!
