- the SoCal region is 52%of the state population & includes 11 counties
- San Diego county, one of the 11 counties, has 22.7% available ICU space as of this morning
- if more ICU space is needed, the Fed Govt can proactively add tents and ships and beds in those counties/areas in need

This whole con is an attempt to control people

You must stay at home for the next 3 weeks, how is that not controlling people?
Can't dine out anywhere indoors? May not be necessary but by forbidding it is controlling & putting some out of business!
Only "essential" people to go to work?
Who decides who is "essential"?
If I weren't retired & didn't get paid to stay at home then in my opinion I'm "essential" to my family regardless of what some idiot governor that gets paid the rest of their lives with plenty of benefits has to say or declare.
We're right in middle of flu season so with all BS the news media slings our way I'd like to know without their inflated numbers exactly how many in those hospitals actually are sick from Covid & how many have the flu or pnuemonia.

The whole thing is a bunch of BS. They can't control you if you think outside the box so they lock you down (narrowed thinking) where you can't socially interact and exchange ideas and opinions with others. That gets you outside the box. Eventually, you become programmed and compliant. Controllable. Malleable, changeable? Robotic?

Don't get me started on colleges. They no longer teach you how to think but what to think. It's more of a deep-rooted problem than some may be willing to acknowledge.

Okay, so they're controlling us by keeping us in our homes for three weeks. My door still works in my home, car, and RV, and I can still go in do all the essential tasks that I need to do. Seems like they're doing a poor job of controlling me, you, or anyone.

Let me try this in a different way - what is the state of California gaining by telling us that we should stay home for the next three weeks. Again, be specific.

They're suggesting that we stay home for the next 3 weeks and closing off various parks and other state or government ran facilities. No one is enforcing anything, and you're not getting a ticket for leaving your house.

Yes, businesses have shut down, and they will never reopen again. It's true that you can draw a straight line between people staying at home and not eating out and a business that relies on serving people food closing, but that isn't specific to any one location. That's not even specific to this country.

So again, how are you being controlled? Because it's certainly doesn't seem like you are. If you're saying that you cannot go sit down and eat in a restaurant inside without wearing a mask to and from and probably before you order is controlling you, then I get it (your opinion that is). I don't agree with that, but I understand your perspective...if that's what your definition of control means, to you.

Peel back the onion. The mask is a control implement. Just a start to test the waters and watch what we do to see if 'the rest' is doable. The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare entitlements, medicine, drugs, etc., while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a time as the government forces us to participate in many of these programs whether or not we want to.

One should always remember two truths: There is no such thing as a free lunch, and you can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself. If you see that all of this wonderful government "help" is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, welcoe to the world of freedom.

The mask situation, sure, okay, that is control. You're right; we are being controlled to wear a mask. Otherwise, what else?

If you're using the fact that you cannot walk into Walmart without a mask as them starting to develop control or leverage on the general public to do some other mysterious thing which you and no one else can state, well...sorry, while I do believe in some of the aspects of some conspiracy theories, I think you are grasping for straws in the desert.

Grasping? Not sure about that. You may have missed the post about how to catch wild pigs. Have to compliment the analogy. Sounds to me like it would work. When you're taught what to think instead of how to think, you're on the same plane with a wild pig.

In all seriousness, this is the same divisiveness that was hoped to be created by this pandemic's intentional dispersal, only some are too unwilling to accept it could happen. I don't believe this was some 'accident' and my belief as a free person. Let's see how long that lasts.

I ask: "what else has caused this kind of opposite poles among the people in this country post Vietnam? Nothing I can think of until 4 years ago. Mind you, I could be wrong. I 'personally' can't remember anything.
