I got "Boosterized"

The fella who stabbed me mentioned that I should pay close attention to hydration today...
So I'm wondering which is better: A liter of Crown Royal, or a liter of Captain Morgan?

I don't drink much but when I do, it's scotch.
I know its odd, maybe even unnerving for a scotch guy to say something tastes bad
But
Damn rye sucks.
Damn corn base sucks.

So
No crown royal here.
Sister in law has graduated to whatever is beyond cr xo.
Jw green or glen livet 15 is normal here.

Both if us can leave a full bottle of our choice on the table and we wouldn't touch the other, ever.

Punchline
Bring a bottle of cr and visit. It'll still be here for you the next time you come by, this lifetime or next.

This is easy, if it is only a liter get the Crown Royal. If you can get the barrel go for the Captain Morgan. You will thank me once you sober up

I got "boosterized" a week ago. Same "sore" arm as before (only when touched) for a few days. No other negative effects. They didn't even make me wait the "15 minutes" afterward.

I don't qualify yet due to age. But when I am old enough to qualify per the guidelines; I will be first in line for my booster. It will be nice to get out of the House and RV to go visit a Pharmacy In the meantime; the Crown has been working fairly well for me except a few occasions when I posted and had the Crown at the same time.

What brand of Scotch? I like a strong peat smoked flavor. I drink Laphroaig.

Walker green
Livet 15

Walker double black if smoky is the call.
Livet nadurra for peat.(Look it up)
But these depend on what the guests are drinking,
I indoctrinate newbs with Tuaca before I show them scotch. A forum member visited us for a few days last month. Tuaca is now maybe a favorite his.

I drink rusty nails or tarantula usually...three times a year, seldom more than six drinks in a year. Hangovers arent worth it, even little hangovers.

(This is the liquor at the shop. It seldom gets used but I do try to be a good host. I can smoke a cigar as a politeness, but prefer not to.)

What now?
I dont know a non-foofy way to drink gin.
Maybe gin and campari?
I'm told campari is pretty bitter.

Stick to beer and ale. It keeps the kidneys and bladder healthy by keeping them flushed.

Good for you Bob.

I got Moderna vaccine early in January and February, and got a breakthrough case of Covid in late September. In retrospect I wish a booster had been available sooner.

It wasn’t that bad on me physically, although some annoying symptoms persist a month after I tested negative again. I still can’t smell anything, get out of breath much easier, have to watch what I eat, and often fall asleep in middle of day which I never did before. I’m hoping it’s all temporary.

On bright side I didn’t end up in hospital or worse yet dead. And as reminder that we don’t live in a vacuum, a loved one I infected with Covid wasn’t as lucky.

Given your condition, I think getting a booster was a great idea.
