RV life booms during the pandemic

Here's a good expose' that was on CBS this morning...
RV life booms during the pandemic

Love the photo of "the" original RV...
Roland R. Conklin's "Gypsy Van," built in 1915, which carried a party of 10 on a transcontinental trip. The New York Times described it "like a house on wheels. Has shower bath, stove, cupboards, ice chest, and closets enough to satisfy most women." LIBRARY OF CONGRESS

Some enterprising people could start up a new business helping the newbies out there get to know their RV's and how to properly use and maintain them.

Next couple years are going to be interesting as to how many RV's are actually in use and in the parks or on the road.

There is no doubt as to the increased demand for RV techs and repair shops.

I’m guessing a lot of the newly sold machines will be on the used market by next summer. Certainly lots of folks will find a genuine passion for “the lifestyle” but many others are going to say “what we’re we thinking!?”. Its hot, cramped, hard work and expensive. Definitely not everybody’s cup of tea.

Five percent down, flush with cash because you haven't paid the house mortgage in five months due to the stall, $1,500 registration due a year from now, no ramifications of any importance if you have it repo'd.

What bad could happen?
Slackers rented an rv pretty cheap for a year....

Trust this like you trusted the 2006 housing goofs.

Fantastic! It all can be fixed with a couple of wrenches and screwdrivers. But where is the big chest for the spare fuel pumps, generators, carbs, bearings, and where are the spare tires and tubes? Yet if you actually had this in good shape it would be worth one hell of a lot more than the original purchase price. Thus making it a very good if not the best RV investment. It is the perfect example of hindsight How is your rig fairing in increasing in value? For the ones who don't know, it is a rhetorical question and well we are all most likely sunk there.
