Southern Colorado

Thinking about a trip around mid September to Southern Colorado. Does anyone know if the restaurants and parks are open? Looking at the RV park by Canon City.

You are going to have to wait until you are about to leave to make sure as things change frequently with covid. I was up there recently and things were open. Sort of! restaurants were allowed to be open but a big portion remained closed. some people are afraid to go back to work and others are making more money staying home. There are help wanted signs everywhere! One night we wanted Chinese take out, There were 4 Chinese restaurants listed only one was open! Even they had help wanted signs and you could tell they were under staffed.

Spent 10 days at Mountaindale RV resort two years ago and 4 days at Mountain View RV resort in 2015 (rode the train) both are highly recommended. Beautiful country if there aren't any fires around. The drive across US-50 to Grand Junction well worth the drive. Did it in 2016 in the new Hurricane. DW drove most of the way, so I could watch and take pictures. She is from Taos, NM, so mountains are fun drive for her.

Mountaindale is where we are looking at staying for 6 days. Going to give them a call to make sure it isn't to crazy in the area with all this crap that is going on. Thanks for the tips.
