Trip canceled

Just got an email from Colter Bay cg in Grand Tetons. Because of the corona virus they will open up later in the year to follow national park guide lines

Our planned dates theres are now closed

They are our third planned national park. So if they are closing I'll assume Zion and Bryce will soon follow suit.

So Maria and I decided to just cancel the trip and focus on our August trip up the coast

Our Europe also got cancel but we're trying to get it rescheduled to October

Well theres always next year

Jerry

I feel ya..

The two campgrounds we had reservations at for spring break both just cancelled in the past two days. My wife just saw that VA State Park campgrounds will close as of this coming Friday. Our options are rapidly dwindling. It's a good thing we managed to get away for a quick weekend spring shakedown trip last weekend.

Now, we're trying to figure out whether we want to try to find something still open or just skip it this time around. I feel that if we're still stuck in the house for another week, we'll probably need it.

I'm so frustrated with the Europe trip being canceled and trying to reschedule it for October now this trip.

We were gone all last year on our dc trip that I dont really mind staying home. Bbqing swimming and spending time with my daughter and granddaughter sounds kind of good right now

Which strikes me as really funny because we’re in the DC metro area and are trying to get out.

Keeping my fingers crossed but I think my Niagra trip is off for this summer. So Georgia parks are open but you need to use your bath and toilet in your Rv. Bath houses are closed in some

We had to cancel our Europe trip as well. We already rescheduled for October but I am worried that might be too soon.

It's Going to Be A Buyers Market This Year

Thor and Winnebago along with all the others are slowing or stopping production altogether. Stock is low low low and campgrounds everywhere are closing up following all the state and national parks closures. RV will not sell in a market people can't use them in. Prepare for a sell off of inventory at great low prices. Those selling used are going to have a hard time moving those as well.

Our trip to Galveston got canceled so we decided to go to Port Aransas....that got canceled, so we thought we would go to La Grange. They called and told us we may want to reconsider.

Looks like we are staying home.

Ya that sucks big time. We have reservations for Europe (Switzerland & Italy) in October. I’m starting to lose confidence on whether that is going to pan out. We’ve gotten emails from our air carriers and they’re cancelling into May at this point. We have family in Switzerland that we can stay with but they are getting hit pretty hard too. Good luck and stay safe.

Received an email yesterday from Ohio state parks that our reservations for the end of this month have been canceled. That sucks, but I guess it's the necessary thing to do.

This Covid-19 pandemic is not going to go away and the only way to stop it is to stay at home as much as humanly possible and put any plans on hold until its safe to do so.
I hate this not being able to just pick up and get out, even for a few days but it is for the common good, I do not want to cause anyone anywhere to be ill and especially something that could kill someone.
My rant of the day

PS If you can, why not `driveway camp` If for not for just the reason to get out of the
same old same old

Funny you should mention "driveway camping", as we were thinking about doing that this evening. My unit is parked in my driveway and I have a fire pit there, and we were planning on grilling out anyway.

My wife is a doctor. When she left for her shift this morning, she told me that she has Sunday off and to get the MH ready. The plan is to camp in the driveway. I thought we were a little strange..... I guess not. We just need to get out of the house and feel like we are doing something we enjoy.

I am going to uncover today, put some water in the tank and since it already has power to it , haul out the Travel Q and grill up some steaks and open a bottle or two of wine, put on a movie and enjoy the change of pace.
