New Mexico needs to hire somebody with at least half a brain:

Quote:
Due to the state’s ban on mass public gatherings in response to COVID-19, the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD) is closing all New Mexico State Parks to overnight camping effective Friday, March 13.
Because we all know CV only travels at night into your own RV but stays away from crowds gathered during the day.

I could not have said that any better!!!

I am starting to wonder if CV attacks the brain because more than half this country seems to have lost it's mind!!!

Let's buy all the toilet paper and paper towels we possibly can because the zombie apocalypse is obviously upon us.

And since CV attacks the brain there is also a complete loss of common sense such that we won't know to stay home if we are sick or that we should wash our hands regularly so we should all lock ourselves in our homes.

Yes they carry several Coronavirus including this one. It started in a side street meat processing zone in China where they process all kinds of wild animals. But they are sure it was bats. The government keeps these bats also to make vaccines including US. They are very closely guarded. This is where many flu vaccines come from. So if you take your flu shot every year you will become bat man. With the new computers they mapped this genome in a few days that did take months. Vaccines can be made in months that used to take years. But testing still takes many months because it’s still waiting for effects on animals and humans before production

They just had a news report on one of the local AZ channels citing AZ consumer protection laws do not cover price gouging. Nice huh?

There also isn't a usary law that has any teeth. 1,300% interest is available.

I don't have much of a problem with gouging.
It's my chicken I'll eat it or you'll tempt it away from me.

If my long gone 1971 hemi Cuda convertible is worth $2,100,000 due to scarcity, is that gouging on that turd car?
Should it sell for tercel prices just because you didn't buy one for those prices when they were available? (I paid $2123 otd for mine way back when)
Turd= that useless rarely driven, car.

Gouging is on ALL things.
An acre of land here is not an acre in Manhattan. Same land.

My last roll of toilet paper is not the same as a truckload of availability.

I overheard a Walmart manager talking to another about a change to their return policy. They won't accept any "bulk" returns when this is over. If you bought 10 cases of pork and beans, you won't be allowed to return them for a refund. I asked the young lady how could they tell if the person returned them 6 at a time... She said they will be requiring a store receipt...it will lndicate on the receipt how many were bought and when. Would only apply to grocery department items. Don't know if it will actually come about, but, I would like to see these clowns left holding all their hoarded items.I
I haven't seen anything about it and they could have been bandying about an idea they (the two of them, no corporate involvement) had in response to this hoarding nonsense.

Yep, heard they are donating it now, so good on them. Another couple bought a bunch of meat, and got death threats so are giving $1,000 to a charity to show they are really nice people and not hoarders.

States and FEDS are over reacting! Even if the CG is open most amenities and nearby attractions are closed. Hope the panic subsides soon and things get back to normal for summer travelers! Summer is our off season, we go from Sept - May!

You know if he is smarter now than we was before he bought up all that stuff he might make a profit although he doesn't deserve it.

Few years back right before the big eclipse around here my wife ordered what she thought was 9 pairs of special solar eclipse viewing glasses. We got 90. I freaked out as they were not cheap. All this 2 days before the big event. I printed a big sign on the computer. "SOLAR ECLIPSE GLASSES $10.00". I pulled the RV out onto a nice relatively quiet corner, taped the sign to the awning and sat in a chair with a cup of coffee. In 2 hours every pair of glasses was gone and I made $60.00 for the effort. Just occasionally you really can make lemonade with a lemon. :-)

Yes many many RV campgrounds, State Parks and great places to travel to are closing up all over the country. This summer will suck for RV travel I fear. On a high note however Thor stock is absolutely in the toilet and with all the closures I foresee a bloated market with no buyers. This may be the year to upgrade to a $250,000 unit for half the price or better.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Thor stock is not in the toilet. They are down approx 3.00 YTD and 3.49% for this time period. Thor opened the year at 38.20 per share and closed on Friday at 35.99 per share. The only way you are going to get that 250K unit at 50 percent off is to find a dealer that is liquidating. It is the dealers, after all, that own the inventory. With the inventory that is out there Thor could possibly shut down operations for a few weeks and come back with no problems.

Fake news

In the last 30 days Thor Industries stock has dropped from $88 to $36. I think it is in the tank, but so is the rest of the market. After reading multiple posts with erroneous information in this forum I’ve decided to read it for entertainment purposes as opposed to finding trustworthy information. The World Wide Web is your friend, check it out after you’ve been here.
