It’s peeling out

We have a 2019 Chateau 28Z and we’re in the process of dewinterizing it. Thing were going until I saw that the drivers side weatherstripping on the coach has peeled out from its groove. When I put it back in the groove it pops back out. Since it’s still chilly in New York I thought it I added some heat (hair dryer heat) that could do the trick.

Thoughts?
Thank you
~Jeff

That's a standard problem since dinosaur days.
The stuff is available by the reel on Amazon.
It used to be about $3 to replace yours,
Lord only knows now what the cost.

Replace it.

i had the same issue on my 28Z. I simply took out the screw that holds the stripping from falling out near the running board and pushed the stripping back into the channel and reattched the screw. its a bit shorter but it was a quick fix.

I cut mine, tucked it back in, filled the space between where there was a gap with gorilla tape. I've had to do it on both sides of mine.

I did a version of this when I had a class c. I took the bottom screw out, warmed the plastic strip with a heat gun and popped it back into the channel. I added a stainless steel self tapping screw to the horizontal section right before the curve and one to the vertical section right after the curve. Then one at the bottom of the channel. I did the same to the other side that was not popped out. It lasted until I sold the coach 10 years later.

There are a lot of sizes of the width. Flatten a pc, get a good measurement. If you do order
