2012 28 A GFCI Protected outlets don't work

I have a 2012 28 for the last 4 years. Recently the GFCI outlets that are above the sink and dining table have stopped working. The only GFCI breaker I can find is on the outlet in the bathroom. That outlet still works but I tried resetting it and that outlet still works but it didn't help getting any power to the other 2. Thanks for any help on this.

The master outlet is daisy chained to the other outlets. With the power off to the coach, pull the master GFCI and check that the stranded wires to the Romex solid cable:s wire nuts are secure. If they look good replace the master GFCI.

Or better yet…
Remove GFCI outlet & connect the black to black, white to white, & grounds
Then see if the circuit works without the GFCI outlet
If it does…it’s the GFCI outlet

Or find the second GFCI outlet. Did you check the outside outlet?

I’ve not heard of that particular failure mode but most RV manufacturers use very cheap GFCIs. (Have you ever noticed that you can buy them at a big box store for about $9 or for about $25?) They are easy to replace with a better one if you find it necessary.

I would do as 16ACE27 suggested. Look for an outlet for the exterior. If you have an exterior TV it might be that outlet has the GFCI outlet that tripped. You could alos have a GFCI outlet inside one of the exterior compartments.

GFCI outlets can live short lives sometimes, so best to try replacing- most RV outlets have push in connections and fit RV style boxes. So you'll have to go to a dealer who knows what a GFCI is and get a replacement.

I'm not convinced they are very good quality. You might want to keep a spare on hand.

Thanks for your help. After checking all the wiring for the inside outlets that did not have any power we removed the outside outlet and found a disconnected wire. The exterior outlet was working but the loose wire would not complete the circuit to the other GFI outlets inside. After reattaching the wire we now have complete power.

Good work!
I also recommend adding a clamp within 6" of the boxes- NEC code for a non-moving home... RVs have a lot of issues b/c they vibrate more... Romex and solid copper do not flex well over time.
