Fuel filler hose design

I'm thinking an engineer or two at Thor need to be fired. This is my rear tank filler hose on my 2017 Chateau 35SB. The alignment is terrible and therefore the hose kinked and I am not able to put diesel into my tank. exact same thing happened with my front tank. I took it back to the dealer and they supposedly fixed it but they did not and I had to fix it myself. Here I am tonight fixing the rear tank myself once again.Click image for larger version

You know, everyone who has a safety issues like this need to report them to the NTSB. Possibly if we all had reported the shift cable issue in the Vegas/Axis and/or other major safety issues, maybe thousands of recalls would convince Thor that a little quality control would be cheaper than recalls. Right now it's cheaper for them to output garbage like this and deal with individual issues and hopefully reach the end of the warrantee period and stonewall the rest.

Looks more like an installation problem than an engineering problem. "It's connected so that's good enough". Lack of pride in workmanship is disgusting and manegers that allow it are even more disgusting!!!

I'm thinking it's both. It could have been installed better but the design is terrible as the solid fuel pipe is seriously out of alignment with the filler neck from the gas cap. When they draw these things up on a PC, it should be apparent.

For now, I just loosened the hose clamp and slid the rubber hose up onto the pipe further. I'll have to keep my eye on it to make sure I didn't pull it too tight to the point that it pulls off of the filler cap pipe. That would be messy!
