2017 Thor Freedom Elite low in the ass end

I have a Freedom Elite 2017 that's sits very low in the ass end. Has anyone put air bags or shocks on to help with this situation?

Load it up, then run across an axle scales.. You may be overloading the drive axle, if not then either 'bag it or add springs/shims.

How long have you had it? Has it always been this way? How was it when you bought it? Is this a new problem.

If it isn’t over loaded then some small helper springs will help. But they won’t correct an overloaded suspension - which is dangerous. Carrying less stuff is the simplest thing to try.

Check before you buy anything. When I tried getting air helpers for our Challenger Firestone sold them for the F53 except Thor. Thor’s body mounting method prohibited the use of the Ride Rite helpers. The same applied to thee series chassis. With luck that might have changed.

I took mine to Power, Brake and Spring in South Bend a couple years ago and had it resprung to correct the ride height. Thor clearly had too much going on with my 26B on a 350 chassis. It was not overloaded, just overworked. Since being resprung it has been awesome.

Some things never change with Thor... Our former coach [Thor/Four Winds "Infinity" 34-H. [the frilly sister to the Windsport/Hurricane twins] on a GM-P-30/32 chassis.. Thor put too much coach for the under spec'd/under sprung chassis..

Ended up going to Kenworth in Marysville, WA and they had a local spring foundry build heavier/stronger springs for the front coils [without the silly internal air bags] and the rear leaf stack. stiffened that "Floaty" bugger right up.
