Adding second battery to Chateau 28Z

I have a 2020 28z that has one 12v battery. I want to add a second one and small inverter so that I can use the 120v TV when not on shore power or gen. I've read about not adding a new battery to an old one. We took possession of our rig in mid-June. Would that be considered 'old'?

If your old battery is a 12 volt and is in good shape, there is no problem adding a new 12 volt battery of about the same size (flooded or VRLA). Just be sure it is in parallel (positive to positive and negative to negative). You should not mix flooded batteries with AGM or gel (for best results) as they need slightly different charging profiles.

Thanks for the quick response!
