28Z power outage tripped outlet battery dead

Ok very frustrating. I tried to turn on my new radio (hooked to shore power 30Amp) and nothing. Tried to start the engine and nothing. Checked the battery indicator and shows battery full. All inside coach 12v works and was able to bring in slide out.
Used the "emergency start" button on the dash and nothing for the engine. I read about this thing and thought all was automatic. Plug in and everything charges. If power cut it would feed off the coach battery and isolate the chassis battery.
Will let it "charge" overnight but something seems off. The coach battery should be dead and the chassis battery should be preserved. If the coach battery is full it should start the engine with the emergency start switch.
In this way my old Class was straight forward. There was a thunderstorm last night but my house lights did not flicker. ON the same power line as the shore power connection.
Any insight?

OK I think I found the problem. My fault for not having the battery disconnect switch toggled to "use" position. There is no indicator light so you must be sure.
I was doing some limited use of the home and getting prepped for vacationing. It was on shore power and then during a storm the shore power tripped (not sure why). The parasitic loads in the RV drained both house and coach batteries well below 12V. So when I reset the shore power there was insufficient charge in either battery to toggle the use solenoid.
I had to charge the house battery, toggle the switch, now 13.9 volts from converter is once again getting to both batteries.
I am just wondering why shore power cannot power the switch? In this situation without a battery charger I would be out of service. Seems to me if your batteries are dead you want to be able charge them with your converter?

Anyway long story short, unless parked for expended time, keep toggled to "Use" position

Even if you have an "indicator light" it does not indicate the position of the USE/STORE switch if plugged in to SP. So always verify the actual position of the switch (latching relay actually) when in doubt.

Im going to install a voltmeter in the wall by the switch to see when converter voltage is applied to the battery. I am putting a switch inline with the voltmeter to isolate it and prevent a parasitic drain when in storage.
