AX29 vs XG32

Debating which to get. We will be full timing it (2 people). The 29 we like the fireplace and the fact that its shorter (easier for wife to drive) and more GVWR towing capacity (assuming less rig weight).

The 32 we like that the bed is not the sofa and the kitchen is bigger (for full time).

Thoughts?

Totally a personal choice. Two feet shouldn't matter that much. A fixed bed is a huge benefit if someone wants to sleep later or go to bed earlier. A bigger kitchen is also, especially since you'll be full-timing. How much towing capacity do you need vs what they both offer? How easily can you maneuver around while underway in each? Will anyone else ever visit you overnight? Where will they sleep?

Our XG32 is So maneuverable! Towing an 18 Foot trailer behind we got through the tightest car gas stations etc (a function of wheelbase and distance rear axel to trailer hitch). The Diesel Platform is great for fuel mileage and power. Not towing we get 11.5 - 12 MPG towing (all through Colorado Mountains etc on a 5600 mile trip we got 10.5 Mpg and had great power through the mountains. On quick overnights we don't run the slides out and can still use the Queen bed in the back. We love the Kitchen.

Any gory details you would like to know reach out I know about every inch of it.

Im wondering if the RS36 is too big. I like that the bunks become a big closet. I dont like the big slide though. Did you consider other brands? I may also look at Entegra 35L

Once you go past the XG32 the Wheelbase starts lengthening and therefore maneuverability declines. We are just 2 as well and we are very compfy in the 32 interior. A big advantage to the interior space was a flip down stair cover.

I'm not sure a 1500w milk house $25 heater disguised as a fireplace is anything to consider a selling point.

But
I am often wrong and maybe the one you like is gas.
But
The occasional use of a decorative fire couldn't carry any weight against 8 hours in a bed.

Signed,
Unblinded

I have an RS36 and I think it's plenty maneuverable and very easy to drive.

Milk house heater(it dawned on me this description might be becoming archaic. Either 220v or 110v this is what's in an electric rv fireplace)

Do all models have this? You need to raise it if you are going to exit the coach?

My RS36 doesn't. It looks custom. You would either have to raise it or it's going to be one hell of a step getting down. I could see how it could be helpful, because you get some floor space out of it, but a bit of a pain to lift every time you want out or in. I think it matters on how you use your RV. It wouldn't be a benefit for me most of the time.

I've read that people use those, not exclusively due to this, but a damn big percentage;

THEIR PET FALLS INTO THE STEP WELL WHILE UNDERWAY.
